This is so common in some of the 1/2, 1/3, and 2/5 homegames I play that it was sort of an autocall. The table was pretty agro, so I figured if they flat called my raise on the flop they had to be drawing.

Two sweet bluffs from last night. I love this first one, the double check/raise semibluff. I've played a ton of hands against this guy at 200NL and he's a decent tagg, capable of laying down AK here, imo.

Full Tilt Poker- No Limit Holdem Ring game - Blinds: $2/$4 - 8 players - Converter

Uncalled bets: $221.7 returned to Hero.

I'm adding the chat to this one cause it's awesome. Villain is another 200NL regular, super-nit.

villain is a sorta aggro tag. i've 3bet him a decent amount but not that much. he paused a bit pf and flop.
why would he raise a monster on this flop vs me? and why would he leave 1/2 pot behind?
kinda fps but i felt confident it'd work for some reason. villain left right after this.

from my live session today...probably won't seem very awesome in text, but was kind of funny and felt cool being noobish at live poker.
also i would've played this totally different online most likely.

it's 1-2nl FR live. villain (covers all, sits oppositte of me) is a middle age woman, i think she's married to a trucker, if that makes sense.
stat-wise i'd estimate she plays 60/20. im (~$200) playing slag but not crazy.

villain limps EP, 2 more limps, I raise to $12 with Seven of Clubs Seven of Hearts
villain calls, one more caller.

flop Queen of Diamonds Nine of Diamonds Six of Clubs ~$38
2 checks, I bet $20, villain insta check-calls, other dude folds.

turn is a blank, ~$78
I bet $30, another insta-call

river is a diamond, so board is Queen of Diamonds Nine of Diamonds Six of Clubs X Three of Diamonds ~$138
vilalin donks $40.
btw, if u haven't played low-limit live, it seems like betting is done more in absoloute $ terms, instead of relative to the pot...so this was a pretty "big" bet.

hard to describe but she gave off mad tells. this was exciting- online i never get to see this sort of thing.
basically her face on the river was more like an excited "i know that's a scare card..you can't call" look, instead of a "how much do i bet to get value from my flush" look.
I quickly looked down and grabbed my chips but glanced back up, and saw a second of "oh shit!" on her face, haha.

so anyway, i think a little more ("meh, pot odds, JT/78/T8/etc") and call.
she says "i missed" and turns JT.
it felt so much better to be right on with reads and make a semi-thin call live than it would online.

hope im not spamming this thread lol. this is a simpler one to post though.

semi spewy flop c/r for info FTW.
villain would most likely have folded a jack to that, and not play an ace like this.

NH Benny. I figure him for the flush draw, not the gutshot, but nice read. What's your play if he bets the turn?

A couple of bluffs from last night... first opp loves to float and has called 2-barrels and folded to a third in the past. Notes FTW!

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $4 BB (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

saw flop|saw showdown

MP3 ($411.70)
Hero ($863.60)
Button ($433.70)
SB ($127.85)
BB ($318.70)
UTG ($233.10)
UTG+1 ($160)
MP1 ($156.60)

Preflop: Hero is CO with A, T.
5 folds, Hero raises to $14, Button calls $14, 2 folds.

Flop: ($34) K, 8, J (2 players)
Hero bets $26, Button calls $26.

Turn: ($86) 9 (2 players)
Hero bets $50, Button calls $50.

River: ($186) J (2 players)
Hero bets $120, Button folds.

This might have been a little spewy but players are so reluctant to call big river bets/raises without the nuts that I've been throwing in a few more bluffs.

Live story im going to tell because im bored in class.

Turning stone 1/2 game, 200bb deep. Opp has been pretty lagg but just making random bluffs and calling down way too much but seems reasonable. I've been really lagg.
I'm in the BB, 6 handed, lagg UTG raises pre which he's been doing a lot to 8. two callers.
I reraise AK to 33, two callers including lagg in position.
Flop comes Queen of Diamonds Ten of Diamonds Three of Clubs

I lead out 55, Guy who is lagg looks at me and then calls, other guy folds.
The turn is an Eight of Spades, I don't two barrel and check intending to fold, but lagg guy thinks and bets 40, glaring at me the whole time. I have a tell on him that when he glares and stares people down he's bluffing, but i cant be sure. He's giving me ridiculous odds so i decide to just call with 10 outs possible.

River is a Queen of Spades and i check, now he starts thinking for awhile. I know it's not an act, or it doesnt seem to, and after about a minute of thinking quietly he bets 75.
While he's thinking I think to myself "there's no way this guy has a Queen and im going to have to raise him right away to get him to fold a T or something of that nature. So when he throws his chips in a few seconds later I announce "raise" and put in 225, 150 more to him.
He thinks for awhile, looking at me and inquiring. and he goes "hit that Q huh?" I don't flinch. And he mucks. I immediately flip over my AK and show the bluff and he says nh and shows that he had KK.

Smile

What don't you get, my call? Because I can't really explain what he was thinking. Maybe he thought I'd call with a flush draw?

made a couple sorta thin calls today...

reads- 40/6, chases a lot, raises TP big on drawy boards, can bluff at weakness, etc. still suspenseful calling the river.

this was based a lot on timing (seemed to only start thinking after i made the smallish turn bet).
villain was donkish/aggro, 27/16, and i've been tight/straightforward.

SHIP IT! er... Damn river. This guy had been playing back at me a lot, and I put him on air correctly... also lots of marginal pf calls by him. I felt good about it anyway despite the result. I've never made a thought out call AI like this. I shoulda pushed over him on flop though.

The big one was that I had seen him slowplay his big hands that he showed down.
