True up to a point. And also very true.
Pushing back over the top with rags can push out a better hand - but do it at the wrong time and you'll bust.
But it's also not where you're just milking for chips.
I think the analogy overall is better suited to bubble/short-handed play, but also works in a few spots earlier in the game. |

Everything up until short-handed with silly blinds is foreplay. In most formats you can camp out on AK,AA-22 maybe suited broadways for the first two levels and not lose a beat.
I the PokerSharks 6 max tournies.
o Lower rake
o Only 5 players to get a read on
o Only 4 suckers to bust out to get ITM
o Enough level 1 & 2 action to destroy the over-aggressive players |

Exactly why I like the turbo SnG format. You quickly get to the point in the tourney where it becomes, as you said, "chicken with cards". So many of the PokerSharks players are weak/tight and you can often run the table over with pre-flop raises/re-raises. |

| The rules are simple, whoever bets the most wins. The cards just break the ties.... |

a game of "whack-a-mole", except the moles act even more erratically, and have hammers to! |
