I've been playing the 1/2 tables at party for a little while now, and I've heard several things like 2/4 is just as easy if you practice good table selection and the rake is eaiser to beat (?) so i've worked up to 400BB in 1/2, which would only be 200BB at 2/4, but do you think it's a good idea to maybe go ahead and try to move up. if it's just like 1/2, i'm confident i can beat the game. So do think it's a good idea to go ahead and try a move? I figure if it doesn't go well, I can always drop back to 1/2.

I'm a pretty strict follower of the 300 BB rule, but the decreased rake at 2/4 is an incentive. What kind of stats do you have at party 1/2? Without any more information though, I would suggest you wait until you hit 300 BB.

btw, I just had a 150 BB downswing at party 2/4 over the last few days. Something for you to think about. Very Happy

your sig says you are rolled for 2/4...did you take out some spending money? Wink

ok, well I tried 2/4, which didn't really seem any different than 1/2 at party, and took a nasty $150 downswing after a few bad beats Sad . I might try it again soon though, the rake at Party Poker at 1/2 is just brutal, I've lost almost as much to rake as I am winning. after 3k+ hands I have in Poker Tracker, I've won $157.19 (+2.54 BB) and paid 151.25 in rake.
