Great catch, you didn't even need the 4 on the river. (but it made for a better hand)
I did the opposite in a tournament last night. got short stacked, went all in with pocket 5s. (I was button and hoping to steal the blinds) Pocket 9s called me. I caught a 5 on the flop, but a 9 came on the river. That took me out 4th place. I was pissy.
Played a second tournament and I ran into the best (or luckiest) player I've met in a long time. I took out 1 player, and every other player was taken out by him. He took out 2 at once, both with pocket pairs, he had AKs. By the time it was down to 3, I had about 1,500, another player had about 1,000 and this guy had almost 8,000. It was crazy. No one could catch him (and no one did) |
