I think I'm OK at HU so far and I've been winning steadily at the low stakes, but I've been losing a lot of cash lately on premium hands. I was thinking about this last night and I'm not sure if I am playing them right - I want a second opinion Smile!

Ok, So lets say this is a $12 HU Sng the blinds are at 15/30 and the stacks are even at 1500. I'm on the button with QQ, I raise to 90 and get reraised to 300. What is the general rule in this spot HU? Sometimes at low stakes I would consider a push but is this the right play? The problem I have with just calling is the flop typically coming A/K x x and him betting 500 and thus, me being commited if I choosed to play the hand any further.

Also, what about the same type of situation with TT-AA, AK/AQ?

ex. AQ is a fold preflop without no donk/tilt reads?

I know this is a really basic question but I think HU sng in this situation is quite different to 6-max cash tables that I'm used to. Maybe I'm being too much of a nit preflop with these types of hands but I just don't like getting into close situations when I think I'm a better than most villians.

QQ is the nuts and its anything but close if you take into account that ppl go broke with like 22+,A8+,KJ+ or something like that. And I think that this range would be the tighter end of the spectrum at 10$ sng's.

I don't think I've ever folded any of those hands pre-flop in a HU SnG

Screw that, if I have QQ in a random low stakes HU game and villian 3-bets to 300 I push in a heartbeat.
