Hi. I'm looking to order some chips and wanted a little advice.
I already checked out some of the reviews at www.homepokertourney.com (what a great site!).
It seems the best value is the Super Diamond Clay Composite Chips. I found they can be ordered from:
www.gamblinghabit.com for $0.09/ea
www.5stardeal.com for $0.08/ea
www.gamelandsports for $0.09/ea
I'm ordering 400 chips for starters. Is it advised that I get some sort of chip case? Most 400 or 500 size cases run around $20 for vinyl and $25 for aluminum.
Does anyone have any experience with these sites?
Thanks...! |

| I bought my chips from 5 star deal, through ebay. They were fine. No complaints. |

I have had good experiences with GameLand sports. They are a local company, so I have been able to visit their store.
GameLand also has ebay auctions, in which you can usually get better deals then those listed on his store page...do an ebay search for seller dugandog |

| I had a friend order mine from Ebay. I got 11.5g composite, suited chips and racks (no case) for $81 +shipping. I don't recall the dealer but they were delivered within a week. |

| Thanks. I think I'll try 5 Star, since I can get 400 chips + a case there for about $55 + shipping. |

All I can say is that you should hold off and wait until you can afford better chips. 5 Star is a great vendor as well as the others listed.
Trust me. You will want better chips. So why waste money on things that are plain and boring? I've gone through three sets of chips already and am thinking about yet again getting another set.
Why? Because each time I think I'll be satisfied with my purchase. I always see something that would have been better. And then I see that ultimately having my own personalized set of chips is my ultimate goal.
Just a suggestion. I know being young and not having that much cash is hard, but the holidays are coming. Hint...hint. |
