| I've always thought that slow play was the best way to handle the pocket nuts preflop. But today, for the first time ever I went all in with my pocket aces (about $44). And of course, some schmuck called me with some non-suited, non-paired crap and beat me with a straight. I HATE EVERYTHING. God... |

slowplay is a big risk of getting bad beat or big pot you decide
I only slowplay with Acehigh flush or fullhouse because it's near impossible to lose with those hands. |

I think he's saying that he DIDN'T slowplay AA before the flop, he pushed all-in and got called by total crap that went on to beat him with a fluke Str8. Yeah, that does suck. I've been there.
For the record, I think the only time to limp in with AA before the flop is from early position, and then only so that hopefully somebody else raises for you. You really do better in the long run to raise with AA from mid-late position than to limp with it, IMO. |
