| Johnny_fish and Cocco_bill (hmm, similar names) are the Lancelot and Galahad of FTR, it seems, unbeatable in their chosen stakes and games. Anyone fancy staking them as the FTR dream team in the next appropriate high-stakes showdown? |

| Johnny, can we get a stickifiable post from you? Your like 70 posts away from Poop Duh status, I think an up to date, and on his game player would really contribute to helping some wanna be winners. HOH and Little Green book are great and all, but 2007 online SSMTT's are a new world. Keep it up. |

I chopped the Stars 109fo tonight (even chop).. The short stack suggested it immediately when it got 3-handed. I was the chipleader though so I didn't agree.. Then my KQ<33 and I was the shortest stack so I took the chop.
Stack sizes were 95/120/175 and payouts 2.9/4.8/7.2 so I can't complain |

Yeah i was checking thru the tourneys and saw you in first 3 handed. Check in just as the 3-3 guy pushed. Tough call but unfortunatley lost the flip, nice chop tho |

Hey Johnny, quick question. Assuming online poker takes another downturn after the Neteller epidimic do you see MTT's becoming even more profitable relative to other forms of poker? What is your opinion on the relative edge a skilled MTT player has over his competition compared to the edge a skilled NL ring or SNG players has over their respective competition?
Thanks man and keep tearing it up. |

3:1 chiplead wasn't enough for the Triple Crown
Also FT'ed both UB 109fo's (both 10th). |
Only just read it. You were in the hunt for the Triple Crown? Congrats man!
You will give BeLOWaBOVe, t_soprano, rizen, etc a run for their money soon. Can't wait to hear your interview on the Pocketfives Podcast. |

Won the Stars 109fo (315 entrants) and UB 109r&a (58)yesterday.
Unfortunately to be elegible for the TC the number of entrants should be 100 or more.. |

| 8/171 in the 1k Monday at FT today.. Had a bad seat at the final 20 with theFatFish (Andy McLeod) to my left so I couldn't steal enough. Pretty disappointing considering first place is 46k (8th paid 5.1). |

I really don't how the online poker world will look like in the (near) future.. Anyway, I don't see a reason why Mtt's would be more or less profitable than cash games. Fish like to play them both.
| Quote: | | What is your opinion on the relative edge a skilled MTT player has over his competition compared to the edge a skilled NL ring or SNG players has over their respective competition? |
Hard to compare but in terms of $/hr the biggest money is made in cash games (mainly because the stakes are higher).
Btw, Sng's and Mtt's are very similar to each other. The main difference is the middle fase of a Mtt which requires a different approach. But the begin- and endgame are about the same (although there some obvious payout structure adjustments). |

I dont flat call OOP here, i either raise or fold - even tho it is a min raise. IMO some players make min raise steals when weaker and some make them when very strrong (aces). So i would raise or fold depending on read here. With no read i would fold i think.
And i play this 2 pair fast on the flop, he has bet over the pot hasnt he??? I probab;y make it 20,000 to go on the flop and try and get him to stack off with a big ace here. This large bet on the flop is almost always a big ace, and he will find it harder to get away from the hand now he has just put in over 5k |

Last hand of the day.. FT 163, itm, last 22.
BB is a donkish Lag so I try to limpraise preflop. That didn't work out but the flop is good.
Only hand I could put him on at the turn was a slowplayed Ten or he floated me with a random Q. Both unlikely obviously.. Thoughts?

unless he is a moron then stacking off with nothing in an unraised pot would be stupid for him here. so i wud have to say u r behind too many times. If u are going to call his reraise all in on the turn (i.e. if u had already worked out u were ahead) then i like checking to him on the turn and then reraiseing him all in (instead of leading). This means u still get stacked if u r behind, but also pick off more chips most of the time when u r ahead. u also get him to lay down some holdings which beat u (like 88-JJ) thoughts? |

Sprayed, I think it's the risks you have to take in an MTT in the middle game. Am I right johnny? |

Well, that's just it. You have to take all risks with positive expectation. Playing for survival doesn't work with top heavy payout structures.
So if you can get a flip with 41% equity and 40% pot odds, be happy to get all your chips in. |

Hey Johhny I have a question. Would it be cool if I came and railed a tourney. You seem to be the shit at MTT's (No offense to other good players on the forum) and ive always wanted to watch a good MTT'er in the middle stages/late stages. I tryed watching TV tourneys but they dont show every hand, just the ones that have huge pots.
I would like to see you in action picking off the small pots and things like that. If so what tourneys do you usually play in and at what sites? |

I generally play all available tournaments at the major sites above a certain buyin. 22+ rebuy (stars 11r too), 50+ freezeout.
I play at Stars, Ft, UB, Party, Bodog and Ladbrokes. I also have accounts at Everest, Paradise, PokerRoom, Prima and Pacific but they rarely have mtt's worth playing.
If anyone's interested I could post a complete hh of a win or something? Or maybe starting at the last 20-30? |

January went quite well, I played a lot (465 mtt's) and managed to win 17k (23% roi).
My goal for February is to play about 350 mtt's and just improve my play in general. I try not to focus too much on results.
I'll also keep multitabling but maybe I'll drop down to just 4-6 tabling after a while. I doubt if less tables really improves my edge though. |

Great start of the month today. 9 final tables (2 wins)
Interesting hand at the 22r final table:
I didn't play a pot with Plip before; so far he played quite solid. Payouts: 9.1/5.8/4.0/2.9/2.2/1.6.
I was quite sure he didn't have the Q and I didn't think he could call without it(notice stack sizes).

| I more or less did (he had ~260 left). The mistake I made was betting too much at the turn imo. 90-100k would've set up a better river. |

I'll take a zip file of all your past 100 tourneys, if you don't mind.
Believe it or not, I would likely review them all. |

| 61st on the P5 LB. You don't talk much at the table. I've railed you a couple of times and you didn't say anything. You're probably playing a ton of tourneys at one time though. |

| One of the top players thus far in the 2007 Yearly PLB is busto_soon, who's been picking up nice scores all over the place. He won a $100 tournament on UltimateBet on Sunday, but his really impressive day was Thursday. He had 10 (yes, 10) cashes that day in tournaments that qualify for the rankings, and those cashes were across UltimateBet, Party, and Stars. Among those cashes were a 5th in a $100 rebuy on Stars, a win in a Party $150, and a 3rd place in a $10 rebuy on Stars. He now sits at number 61 in the rankings, having moved up 11 spots over his last placement. |

Yes, and I don't reply if I don't recognize the screen name (I'm quite sure I didn't notice yours )

Interesting hand right now in the 109r. I'm 2/38, he's 3rd in chips. 18 paid. We've both been playing Tag, I raised a cbet at an K55 board once against him but that's about it. Put us on hands.
