So, poker.
I've took down about $1500 from my online roll. I currently left:
$180 stars
$130 FT
$220 Ongame (i forgot about this one, or I would have withdrawn it too)
$ 50 PKR
there currently is no plan. In this time of economic uncertainty, I am just looking for a good opportunity to put my money in an EUR account and make some extra on speculation. My currency is tied to the dollar .
I'm closely monitoring the currency market.
I won't be grinding as much anyways.
Oh, and about the PS3: its also currently put on hold. I'm keeping an eye on the production on the specific model I want to buy. If they decide to slow production or not make them anymore, then I'll buy. I expect production to remain in full swing until christmas this year.
dark times ahead
and props to moneybookers, hasslefree cashouting |

Deposit money into InterPoker and make a EUR poker account.
Then you'll have money in EUR's AND have a poker bankroll! |

i need something strong
and btw, fuck online cash. i just dont have the discipline nor the mental toughness for multitable online cash.
i though i did and in theory i do, but in reality i get a sense of entitlement whenever the pot is big and I am a slight favorite, that when i lose i go on silent tilt; my handreading because of my dominoes background is top notch, so when i put that sucker on a hand, push the turn he calls and he has that exact hand, only to luckbox-3-out the river, i feel like i want to kill puppies.
now, if this happened in moderate succession i'd be able to regain composure, but it seems (again, perception) to happen like sooo many times back to back to back to back, every time for full stacks, every time i get fucked, and ever time i react in the same way: i go on spewtilt. the multitabling aspect of online poker makes it fairly certain that this happens multiple times back-to-back. i seem to go berserk when this happens.
case in point: for the ps3 bet, i was up 12 BI at one point, immediately followed by being down 13 buyins at another point. this, followed by the fact that deepstack tables are few and far between at 25NL (maybe on FullTilt, but because of account issues, i cant get or take away money from that specific site as easily as the others), makes it impossible to get unstuck quick. and this adds to the berserkness.
and then it struck me: i suck at online multi cash, but i rule at single table cash. for some reason the beats do not compound when i only play a single table. but this is also boring as heck. i much prefer it live, or HU online.
so, i kinda made some slight adjustments, since knowing oneself is key to Zen, and I frankly think i now do (somewhat more). I have no problems with multitabling (4-tabling, 6-tabling, always in batches) SNGs, because a win equals +4.5BI (+3.4BI NET). so now I'll take the tourney donk route again (see my other blogs). i'll only play (some) cash a single day of the week, just to not forget how to play with a deep stack.
so, in short, fuck online cash.
there is a regular cash game live at one of my friends houses. i am planning to take the following PokerStars items when i get there in vpps:
http://www.pokerstars.com/fpp/store/accessories/chips-2/
http://www.pokerstars.com/fpp/store/cards/
the cards are bridge size though. not sure if that would matter. not even sure wtf bridge is |

yeah, if you tilt to bad beats then multi-tabling cash is silly. especially cos a lot of these beats are - as you say - in situations where you're only a slight favourite anyway.
I have that same perception thing - man ft is rigged, one outer bs, why it always happen to me etc. but then i calmly forget the one outers i hit...
My all in EV over a decent sample is about as it should be (within a buyin or two), that helps keep the tilt in check. |

i just remembered this
http://www.flopturnriver.com/phpBB2/forum/post637907.html#637907
and now I also remember fully well why i did play that hand that way
and now i also found a chapter in slanskys tourney book that belatedly justified my play in this specific spot
so i am happy i played it that way, and would most probably do it again |

SHOTS, YO!
there is something undescribably nice when you hold poker money in your hand
i have some of it it now stashed away in a box. i immediately got all sorts of inspiration to continue grinding.
i also bought a $40 cigar, a $35 cordless phone for my mom, a $50 trip to the strip club and am going to proceed to buy about 5 new Poker Books.
common tourneys, one big score for me plsss! |

EDIT: its been raining all day today. since i woke up in the worning, and its still going on. It hasn't rained like this around here in recent memory, and IIRC it hasn't rained like this since like '94 or '95.
That said, I fucking love it. A little cold one time for a change. |

Many people want to go to heaven, but few are willing to die to actually do so.
This seems like a cliche but it has quite some application in the real world. Time and time again I see this particular situation getting repeated, every time with different actors...
Including me.
I'm proud of myself lately however at how I've been working so hard this past week or so at this poker thing. But, as expected, "this past week' is not nearly enough to work very hard at, and become as good as I really want to. So I have to keep going.
Keep grinding, keep studying the game, keep reading and rereading Poker Books, keep grinding some more, keep lurking around here, keep occasionally spouting some abstract wisdom here, keep getting myself in situations over and over again, keep studying etc. The circle is endless, but I have to tirelessly go around it.
In short: get off my lazy ass and work at it if I really want to be that good.
And right now i too am willing to die to go to heaven. Game is on, baby. Lets drink to that, bourbon pls (tnx flomo)

I think I found it.
I subtly suck while a little sleepy, or with any degree of sleepyness in. Maybe tiredness counts too, I have to deepen on that claim.
Subtly, in the sense that I tend to lose patience, but not notice this.
This has historically cost me a lot of money, and now that I have realized it I have to somehow deal with it. There is the obvious solution, and then there is the real solution.

nice guys, that's what I'm talking about!
here, lemme bring out some from the cupboard
some hand-made Vanilla cigars too, soft and smooth
I'm still on sngs, but fate is perverse and evil. nothing tilts me more than electricity falling out when in the middle of a tourney (SNG or bigger ones). This has costed me about 16 buyins (4x4, since I now 4-table em standard per session, every "go" is now 4 games with very little effort) since my last withdrawal.
but even so, i'm not down (or up) much. I try my best, like XTR, not to look at the cashier during play. But I like what i see when playing.
All is well |

This is like the best rum ever ever. So good, it has Fecundo Bacardi's sign of approval on it.
I'm heading out to play some basketball, and do some running. Later tonight I'll go to a fashion show thingie too, hopefully I can score a slamdunk.. . or two...
Now all i got to try is keep this up every day |

TNX dude. While that night I actually got angry at all the frivolousness going on, I actually for some reason got an eureka moment. I left early also. fucking models
yesterday, as in sunday night, went much better girls-wise.
i have been much more into personal development over the past few days/ weeks/ months, and its starting to yield great results imo.
i also discovered onenote on my computer, and it was exactly the kind of thing i needed. i actually had a mac and had a program called omni outliner a while ago, and i was wondering to get the same program or an equivalent for windows. i finally did. |

What a poker blog this is LOL
ok, to satisfy the pundits. Here are a few things I came across;
play as many tables as you possibly can while maintaining your a-game. as many as you can control yourself, if that makes sense.
do not play tired.
always, always, always expect the worst.
play more hands! it does not matter how many hands you have played: play more.
variance is a bitch. i know. now stfu or tell me something new.
there, better. |

Curaçao man, the biggest of the ABC islands. Its relatively quite far away from Sint Maarten (which is one of our sister islands, country wise) and Sint Thomas. We are in what is called the Leeward Antilles; the name of the country is the Netherlands Antilles.
Sint Maarten is very nice too, but for some reason, its devastated by a different hurricane annually
Have lots of fun though. if by any chance you get to Curaçao, let me know and I'll get you my contact info. I'll tour ya around. Beach, booze and bitches basically |

hey Jack,
it just came to my knowledge that you serve alcoholic beverages during (european) dayhours. your selection of rum must be awesome over there, though I`d go for a bloody mary this morning due to deprivation of minerals. may I ask you to shoot it up with russian standard, citadel or grey goose?

oh and can i have a slippery nipple, and sloe comfortable screw against the wall 151 times?
that will be a sign of a good host. |
here you go
sadly, for the slow comfortable screw against the wall 151 times in the dark, I dont have all the ingredients at hand. instead, I offer you a unlimited shots of bacardi 151
and damn, i'm still reinstalling. some jose cuervo does indeed make the time pass quicker |

i made you the simplest variant, with Bailey's and Sambuca layered. sadly, there are no real nipples involved in the creation of this shooter |

Crap, still no poker for me. I'm trying to make the perfect installation, and then back it up to an external drive, so when my harddrive fails or i get trojanned in the future, i'll just load up the image and voila!
in the meantime, let me put up a song in here:
afterlife - show you something |
