Same opp in question; he is TAGG but definitely puts the AGG into it.

No.1 - yeah, in retrospect - fold preflop to the reraise. Incidentally, would others raise SCs UTG?

No. 2.

Argh. It's hard knowing precisely what to start with and what to let go preflop. Anyways, does anybody put the opp on a flush draw?

What line would you take on the flop?

First hand is interesting. You can make a case for folding to the re-raise pre-flop, but I wouldn't. First of all, the pot is $3.25 at the point you have to call $1.25 to stay in, giving you roughly 2.5:1 on your call. That's pretty decent for most playable hands, especially with sneaky middle connectors like you've got. Second, the right board could stack this guy and more than make up for a slightly loose call (assuming he's got the overpair). Since he's re-raising to $2 and you both have $22+, I would call that. Implied odds are definitely there.

As far as the play of the hand, I think that's pretty much standard. His flop check is suspicious following a re-raise pre-flop. I would check behind, too. The turn he suddenly comes out firing with an almost pot-sized bet; with top pair you might call and see if he slows down (is he acting this erratically with AK, maybe?), and you do very likely have five clean outs even if you're behind. The river: he announces that he has you beat, and with tens/nine kicker on a paired and coordinated board, it's going to be hard to look him up. I would fold there, knowing that maybe 10% of the time I'm folding the best hand.

Second hand: he could have a lot of things. One quick comment first - I don't care for your open-limp with QJo unless the table is super-loose/passive. You should probably come in for a raise with that. Anyway, his raise on the flop is a min-raise and could be getting cute with a draw... I had a guy min-raise me twice on the flop yesterday with a flush draw (as in, I bet, he raised, I re-raised, and he made it four bets, with nothing but a draw). It's not unheard of. But then again, he went out of his way to check-raise, which is perhaps a little too weird for a flush draw. I would pretty much assume he had Q8, 88, or 55, and only show this one down if it stayed reasonably priced or my hand improved (say with a jack on the turn).

First hand looks like villain has an overpair AA, kk, QQ, JJ. You're beat and chasing a gutshot. Fold to bet on the turn.

Second hand is iffy, He could have KQ or AQ or flopped a random two pair.

Blinky, I think it was your other post I just replied to where you mention going from SnG play to 6 max. I said it their and I'll say it again. I think you should start at full ring since you're just transitioning to ring from SnG's. The game is so different. It took me a while to get used to it myself. I lost all the profit I made playing SnG's while learning good post flop ring play. 6 max is a fast game and can be daunting to someone just learning ring play.

I tried 6 max when i made the ring transition thinking It would be easier to beat 5 opponenents rather than 10 and was overwhelmed by how awful i did. I then went to full ring and camped a bit, starting to learn post flop skills with premium hands first. You also need to learn good position play. I don't think very many Low limit SnG players understand this because it turns into a push/fold game quickly.

Good Luck.

First hand is EXTREMELY shady with the re-raise and no c-bet. With a lot of the fish I've seen in 6-max, a lot of them love to check when they flop a monster or strong hand, hoping someone will take a stab at a pot (my favorite is someone raises with Jx flop comes J-J-7 and they check after raising pre-flop... I usually get more scared than if they do a c-bet)

But, more reads are needed. How often does he c-bet on a raise? Is he capable of this play with AK (which I've seen, tho a lot of people who re-raise with AK push the flop)

Second hand he's on Qx, but without a solid read I'm in call down mode. The 2 may of given him two pair, but I often see people here betting to control the pot if they are nervous of their kicker or hand. When people are re-raised on the flop, if the turn doesn't improve, they go into check/call mode. If they greatly improve, they may go into check/raise mode, which would be VERY scary

Guys: thanks for all your help. I've moved to full-table cash games and, as you say thirteen, it's been helpful to be more hand and position selective (as noted above, I have learned to hate QJ but I understand it's pretty goot 6-handed).

See you on the fulltable NL side of things...

I don't even like QJ 6-handed unless it's sooted. I'll play it in position and for small raises, but I don't treat it like a premium hand or generally play it for top pair value on purpose (unless I'm just getting my LAgg on).

Sorry about the order
Hand2
Nice easy fold, considering position and action.
Hand1.
Anyone who cant see a case for calling here is a little weak inm. Your hand is nice hidden thats a reason to call, plus the odds arent killing you imo either. If that flop gave you an oesd its so different but really if offers you nothing so its an easy fold. These are so often the situations where i get paid simpy because villain is prepared to take his hand to far.
