Lol I have a girlfriend we have been going out for a year and a half. She is awesome, but not when im playing a live game and on the bubble and i hear her say i want to go home. I say out loud i want pocket aces but we all cant get what we want. Next hand i get dealt poket aces. I hold them up (to look at them) she is behind me, and she goes there you have them now lets go. Everyone laughed thinking she was lying. Ace on the flop, someone raised all in, i called i won. Eventually won that night. She didnt mind the money later that night....

I think talking about beating women in the right company is usually funny. I definitely wouldn't do it at a battered woman's shelter, but I thought FTR was safe for a few non PC jokes. I don't condone beating women of course, but I was actually more insulted by the criticism of the comment than the comment itself. |

that many young people now spend half there lives on video games anyway that i dont think it matters.. at least poker has a product.
17.. and I only play when i wouldnt be able to go out and do something else anyway. As i'm sure the other guys on here do to. Any minor that is intelligent enough to win at poker is probably also intellegent enough to be out enjoying their life as well.
As for that guy (sorry cant remember who it was, and take to long to go back and find out) who said us young guys should be out pulling chicks.. What young guy isnt thinking about and acting on this?? And if they aren't then they dont deserve any anyway... I'm quite satified with a life that includes poker and girls.. and all the beer i like for that matter. |
