I've been curious about this for awhile but Sundays seem very bad for my bankroll. I'm not sure if there are just better players on Sunday or if they are worse and the variance is higher but if it is the latter, I seem to always catch the bad end of it. I wanted to know what you guys thought.

Personally, I find the games much easier during the week and much looser and tougher on Sunday. Anyone else experience this or know why?

Any reasons why I should just avoid weekends in general?

Thanks. I play on PokerStars btw.

Thursday, Friday and Saturday are softer, Sundays always kill me, and the rest of the week depends.

All the recreational players come in on the weekend (Friday and Saturday) but the only players that usually play on Sunday are the ones that play every day. Monday through Thursday is kinda like Sundays, but a little easier.

stakes?

def there are more regs on sundays because of all the big tourneys, but if you're < 50 it won't matter much I don't think. There are also 15k plus donks playing the sunday hundo.

It is highly unlikely you have a good enough sample to judge day vs day.

Hmm, I've had terrible results today. The play seems looser than normal. Not mention how many times my pairs have been crushed by an underpair :p

Normally I'm a consistent winner during the week, but even with 2 wins at the end, I'm still down for the day

drmcboy-

I am just playing the 5.50 and 11 SnG's. I don't have a large enough sample size to be able to judge for myself yet so that is why I was asking others here in this forum. All I noticed is that most of my downswings occur on Sundays. Could be variance but the games seem tougher. However, if they really are tougher on Sundays I should just practice better game selection and play other days of the week.

Thanks for the response guys. Keep them coming if you have an opinion on this subject.

If Sunday is a good day to play for you (time wise) I would not avoid it. It could also be the opposite - as Nakamura said people may be gambling more and you either aren't adjusting well or have just run bad.

just looked at spacegravy's graph, he's one of the most profitable sng players and has 40,000 games logged on sharkscope (i think he normally plays turbo 6.50s-16s)

His most profitable month by a good amount is on sundays. His highest ROI is also on sundays

I usually find Sundays ( esp. Sundays nights ) to be good for my BR. I usually have to have a good Sunday to make up for my horrible Friday nights. That seems to be the worse time for me. Especially early Friday evening. The later the better any night it seems.

Small sample size as well ( 749 S&G's )

just keep playin man, you just are probably running bad on sundays? either way, low stakes don't matter day to day, they're always profitable
