Just played a little 1-2 to try out a new setup and got into a match vs a nitty, straightforward and pretty bad reg while the tables were filling up.
I somehow lost 7.2k in about 1100 hands.
Not sure what to say? To say it was mindblowing is an understatement. I don t have any tracking software on this computer but I had never known what it feels like to lose over 20 buyins in 1k hands. We were both playing very aggro and he just destroyed my 4 betting range in pos by calling with unsuited unconnected cards and flopping 2 pair.
It s probably just as well that I don t have the hands to look over. I d just waste time posting them here to rant and whine.
Gonna hit the tables hard tomorrow. |

hit the tables hard indeed.
just finished an epic 5 hour straight marathon 13-tabling session. i think i came closer to playing perfect poker during this session than i ever have before. my control, patience and thinking were just spot on for the entire session.
somehow, i won 8 of 34 flips and lost another 4k playing nothing higher than 2-4 but jeezus did things ever feel easy. |

Just played a pretty amazing 5k hand session. mixed in everything from 1-2 to 5-10 and played v v v v solid. bad news is i had my biggest loss ever (8k ish) and it s a downer to end a pretty great month, but not much you can do.
strangest hand was getting it AI for 300bb's at 5-10 euro table w KJ vs 69dd on T97hh board in a 3-bet pot. villain 3-bet shoved flop over my raise. he s a reg at higher stakes and i still don t know what he was thinking?
somehow i blanked and lost the biggest pot of my life. i also ran like death all over the place and ran QQ into KK and AA vs the biggest fish at the table at 5-10 euro...
back at it tomorrow. |

hh please?
He's probably thinking you're mega polarized and only stacking off with like 68 or TTT on this flop so deep, so you're FOS. Even if you have a set, he's got equity I guess.
Did you have KJhh? |

i had straight up KJ no heart but there was a fish on the button 400bb s deep so I really really don t understand his squeeze since he s ALWAYS getting called 2 ways; i assumed he d be only doing it for straight up value vs the fish and expecting me to not get out of line so i figured i had tonnes of fold equity vs his overpair on such a terribly scary board. also i checked back the HH and we weren t as deep as i thought. my flop raise absolutely commited me to the hand and it was like a 410bb pot after we were both all in.
also just kind of vomited when i realized that my Rakeback was paid during my session so i can tack another 5.6k onto my biggest loss ever (i think that brings last night s loss to 13.5k blehhhhh). i can t be angry at myself for anything really; i feel like I played great and i didn t tilt for 1 second of the 5 hour session. just annoying to lose so much in the last session of the month, even though that doesn t mean anything. this shit will happen sometimes as i move up to bigger games vs wild fish. |

A bit of self-indulgent goal setting for October :
-grind 90 hours of good poker
-keep taking shots up to 10-20 when the games are good
-continue to play tilt-free
-win the rake race #3
-get HEM and HEM Omaha installed and start tracking things
-do some sweats w ppl like griffey |

wtf i ve contacted HEM like 6 times about getting tracking software for new desktop and adding omaha tracker... so no fking HH.
i ve put in maybe 15 hours so far, up about 10k after some huge swongs in plo and some pretty meh 5-10 sessions. mainly been grinding 2-4 and winning buyins there.
i ve been trying to get in touch with a good tax lawyer to figure out a plan for this year but god is it ever tough.
alex we should def play some HU plo sometime. |

can't you just purchase/upgrade > link
Or download it and get D. to give you his authorization number. It can be authorized for up to 3 pc's i think. I imagine he doesn't have the Omaha extension though so you'd still need to purchase that.
+ the Boss hh convertor in case you forgot the link. |

suddenly VERY sick of the monotony of the grind. eterday i played a little bit higher up but even that didn t really get me going. i found mysel not really caring during tough spots and kind of going into auto-pilot bunch.
Gonna take a few days off and recharge the poker batteries, hopefully come back strong later next week. |

just about to pack and leave Baden. didn t play the donkament i was registered for today because i woke up too late. no regrets though, since it was a women-related incident and pretty much no donkament can compare to a fuckament.
alexos : the InterPoker staff not only met but exceeded expectations for this promo. i don t need to go into details; use your imagination. we didn t even have Jesper with us and it blew my mind : mini-golf in the snow, clubbing at 5 am, gay bars where we least expected them... completely epic. InterPoker is easily the best small site in terms of support and promos in the world.
Back to the grind in about 30 hours after some epically boring and long and hungover travelling.
Can t complain.
p.s. V zero: as soon as I get HEM installed again I ll post some hands that hopefully won t disappoint. 2 days ago there was a pretty fun Q hi call for a 2.2k pot that I think you would have enjoyed. |

Right now I'm kind of disappointed with myself. I just really, really don't feel like playing. I guess this comes down to a lack of discipline... The very idea of firing up some tables seems like pulling teeth.
There's always the thinking that if you take a break, you'll feel fresher and more focused when you come back but I really don't think it has much to do with that. I think it'll be just as hard later today, tomorrow, a week from now...
So what do I do? There are so many people who would love to be in my shoes, grinding good midstakes games for a nice winrate. This isn't much consolation. I think I just need to do some soul searching. Or maybe just sit my ass down and grind this shit. |

Mustered up the discipline to play a session. Was just planning on playing low but the games were pretty good so I sat at a few 5-10 and 3-6 euro tables.
Ran like pure death (AK to AQ on Axx flop rr pot, AQ to KQ on Qxx in rr pot, 2 flopped sets vs draws... blahblahblah) but somehow made money on the sesh.
I felt like my edge was maaasssssive so I really hope I can find my nutsack, find my discipline and grind a decent amount over the next while. This kind of opportunity won't be around forever.
also found myself in a couple interesting spots so I posted a couple hands in the hihstakes forum. |

Very encouraging. I always think the days the cards hate you that just not losing too much is a victory, to actually come out ahead is a fantastic result.
Stick with it. |

I think I played my best session ever tonight.
Lost my biggest pot ever (6.2k) getting it in w nut flush vs 888 on A872ccc board w KJcc and despite that made some. It's one of the first times ever where I feel like I combined my hyper aggro game with just the right big folds and nittiness in a few select spots. |

Just finishing up a late-night session where I played awesome.
I was about to quit after owning some regs at 10-20 but I saw a fish at plo 2-4
He s now sitting with 1000bb s
Highlight was him calling off 240bb's pre w A429 single suited vs my dbl suited aces and flopping the nuts w 100bb s behind.
Another beauty was getting it in for 600bb s w KQJ9 on AT8 rainbow vs his 6792... |

I think you should start containing it in a clear jar/bottle... so you can see it at least (ie: see it and then not consume it). Or are you?... |

I never understood why a cash gem player would need to resort to the bottle trick. I get that maybe Toruney donks could get to that need. Personally, accidentally drinking my own piss is enough of a reason to let myself time out for one or two tables.
How far is the bathroom anyway? |

Imagine everything you wanted, came.. in.. a.. URINE CAN!!!
I'm just waiting for the day that someone else becomes the accidental victim of this. Actually that one girl came close, who knocked your full cup over and offered to clean it up thinking it was juice.

eff stacks 1.1k at nl1k (USD)
villain is a megafish who bets small for value and large for bluffs. he donks a wide range, so far weak made hands and draws, but in over an hour a the table he s played a tonne of pots, reloaded twice and hasn't gotten it in without a made hand yet.
I open from btn, fish flats from SB
Flop (85$ish) is (not sure about suits but it was rainbow board where I had BD FD and nut gutter)
Fish leads out for pot, I raise to 265, he instaflats.
Turn (600$ish) is (or low diamond, just a blank that gave me FD). Vs most ppl I d shove, but I didn't know if he'd fold 8x so I checked back.
River pairs the bottom card and he instashoves 800ish int 600.
I call,7To no good. |

is there anything more tilting than sitting down at 2 late night high stakes tables vs fish and having them both stack you with top pair vs your overpairs in 10 mins and immediately hit n run you?

just FINALLY got hem working (TY AL) and wasn t surprised at the damage from last :
down 300bb s w AA at 4-8 and higher, down 200bb s w KK at 5-10, overall lost 8 hands OVER 100bbs (of my stack) at 4-8 and 5-10 while winning 1 (a flip, AK beating TT somehw).
I also lost mountains of money at plo... just playing plo w sets losing, 2nd nut flushes in rr pots losing to flopped nuts, etc...
nothing really interesting, at least 3 spews (cpl of questionable plays), a few beautiful nl coolers and just random shit like c betting w AK on 862 w BD flushdaw, getting called by a whale, turn 9 giving my overs and FD, i pot he calls, riv A I pot shove he snaps w A9o...
oh well at least I can track shit now |
