So for the past couple weeks, me and my buddies always get together, and play a house tourney with about 6 people or so. There is one particular hand that I remember, all because it was crazy. There were only 4 of us left. I don't remember the chip count, but all I remember is I had second in chip lead.
Hero SB $100 and I have TT
BB $200
CO Calls
Dealer Calls
Flop comes, 6d-7d-Td. So I tell myself, ok, I flopped a set, do I really want to make a big raise, or should I just push and try to take down the pot. After a minute of thinking, I push. My friend Brian is asking if I flopped the straight, did I get the flush, or am I on a draw. So after a minute of thinking, he calls. CO calls quickly, and the dealer calls in on the action as well. I don't know if there are any rules for showing both cards during an all in where everyone is in. But anyways, they all turn over their cards. BB with 66, CO with 77, dealer sitting on flush draw with Ac5d. I was just praying a 6 7 or diamond doesn't come out. Turn card is a Qc which is no help to anyone. River comes, first thing I notice is the diamond, and thought to myself defeated. But then I glance at the corner of a card and see that its a lady. Board paired and I caught a boat. But no one knew it. Dealer hit his flush, but was let down by the board being paired. BB hits with Sixes full of Queens, CO hits Sevens full of Queens. My friend Brian was mad at me for slow playing this, but during the showdown, I only showed one 10, and the other 10 was underneath it. So he says to me, you pushed all in on a pair of 10's on the flop? And I reply, "wrong, I pushed all in with my Pocket 10's on the flop" and reveal the bottom card. He was shocked, and I went heads up 2 more hands against the CO which had 77. I ended up winning last hand Ace high with the board having 2 pairs, TTJJ2 and he had 88. What a bad way to go out eh? |

Your friend Brian considers a push on the flop to be slowplaying? He must be quite the aggressor!
(p.s. paragraphs would make it a lot easier to read) |

Don't be a dick at the poker table. If you're a winning player it's in your best intrest for everyone to have a good time.
Either flip them both if you think you're good or say something like "does anyone have anything?" or "I missed" when you don't think you're good. That said, wait to see a better hand before you muck. |
