As suggested in a different topic, this is a contest to see who can design the most popular FTR-themed desktop wallpapers. Show off your creative skills and win prizes!
DEADLINE
11:59pm ET on 30 April 2007.
Each member may submit as many entries as desired.
PRIZES
1st: Any FTR gear (choice of any 1 item from our Spreadshirt store)
Click for sample.
2nd: FTR Logo/Slogan T-shirt (1 of 5 available colors)
Click for sample.
3rd: FTR Thong (1 hot G-string)
Click for sample.
You have through the end of this month to get your entries in. After April 30th, there will be a period of 2 weeks during which the FTR community will vote for their favorite wallpapers. Criteria for voting is entirely up to the voting members.
As an example (not an entry in this contest), here is a wallpaper that I designed:

DOWNLOAD GRAPHICS
Original source graphics (FTR logos, slogan, parchment texture, FTR color palette, etc.) may be downloaded using an FTP client* here:

Do NOT upload files to this FTP directory.
Feel free to use all or none of these graphics and reference materials in your creations. Each wallpaper design is entirely up to you, but it MUST be FTR-themed in some way.

UPLOAD YOUR WALLPAPERS
Submit your entries by uploading them to our Photo Gallery (must first be logged in to our forum):

When prompted to choose an "Album," make sure you select "FTR Wallpapers" from the pull-down menu. Include a title for your entry. Then, post a reply in this thread and include the thumbnail of your design in your post. NOTE
The designers of the most popular wallpapers may be asked to customize their designs to fit various screen resolutions (as I have done; see the FTR Wallpapers album).

Can you guys post pics of how the custom-fitted ultra-wide wallpapers I did for you look across your monitors? I could adjust them if they don't fit right, i.e., if the logo or slogan is getting split in a weird spot. |

I re-did the 3200 and 4800 wallpapers to better fit your multiple monitors (no awkward breaks). Go to the FTR Wallpapers album and check them out.
Hit CTRL-F5 before downloading the full-size files to force your browser to reload the new image. |

Exactly what type of screen did you design this for? At 966x396, I don't think it fits any monitor resolution. If you could just modify this to conform to one of the standard screen sizes (1024x768, for example), you would win all 3 prizes at this point, since there are no other entries.

I got a new box of crayons and uploaded some wallpapers tonight. Now I'm sleepy and will probably suck even worse than normal for Sunday's Gauntlet tourney.
Anyway, there are several variations on a theme, some with color overlays and most include a subtle art deco background.
