You will soon have access to 10 times more players on Empire Poker!

We will also be offering you MORE tournaments, MORE tables and even a Blackjack option using your poker account!

Looks like they are about to merge Party and all the skins back into one big site. Would be nice if this happened before this reload.

I for one will not be tackling this reload. I did the last one and damned near pulled my hair out due to the overall tightness of the players. Was not uncommon to be at a 10 person table with 6-7 rocks. At party I would normally 6 table 25NL to clear a Bonus (at about 250 raked hands per hour), but at Empire I was averaging 110 4 tabling per hour.

Oooh - a break from B2B madness. One way to easily clear this is to play omaha at 25NL. If you don't do that then 6max is the next best thing.

ProZach, Empire apparently put their welcome Bonus back up. I saw on here a day or so ago where someone did the Empire sign up Bonus at 5x rake.

If 6 max rake is the same as full ring rake, then how does Bonus clear faster at 6 max? I would think the more players there are then the faster the Bonus would clear.

I remember the last $200 Bonus I cleared here and feeling the same as AHiltz, wondering if I was ever going to reach the rake requirement.

edit: I think I played it at 25NL though.

6max because of looseness. People complained it's too tight. Plus more hands per hour. I don't play omaha but my wife cleared Empire a while ago doing omaha. Nobody raises preflop but everybody limps - so every pot will be high enough even at 25NL.

You can play very tight on 6max and still break even or better. Don't think you have to go LAGG and call with any two to hang.

I'm clearing at about 100 raked hands an hour three tabling 25s. Yes, that's around 12 hours, but fuck, I also made a lot extra. These players are terrible/pure tight Bonus whoring, and if you raise a lot you can own the table.

Make sure you've turned off the "hide full tables" option. There are plenty of tables, you just have to wait.

And yes, this is a great Bonus.

Are you talking real tight 6 max 25NL omaha here? Or just 6 max in general? I've only played omaha a few times, plus some in free money, but I dont really count free money as any help.

I'm saying play regular 6max NL. You can play tight there and still make money. For omaha, I would assume you can call from the blinds and LP (with a decent hand) and break even or better. A decent hand usually is a pair and/or suited connectors (higher is better). If you have 3 or more of a suit in your hand then it is not good since you have one of your outs. Just don't put lots of money in with two pair or less.

Unless something has changed, you need to install Empire on a clean machine (one that Party has never been on before). Then create the account. Now you can go to your regular machine and play away. We have a test machine here at work that does quite nicely for these situations.

Brick wall

6max = more hands over the same time frame as a full ring table. PM me if you do not understand this. Also with 6 max, I think you can adjust specifically to your opponents player type and nuances (more so than full ring). You take advantage of these things and make more money, I know it's harder than playing 19 hands, but it's pokahhhhhhhh!111111!!11!!

What are the specifics on their sign up Bonus?

Follow up question:
Most sights allow the bonuses to be cleared playing omaha, right?

Recently started playing low buyin omaha to learn the game, am looking for some bonuses to cushion the learning fees.

11 hours,
4 table 25NL,
6 max.
184 raked hands left to go.

Probably an hour and a half to two hours to finish these 184 hands. High estimate.

I am currently at Empire playing the $5NL but I want to play the $10NL tables of which there is only 1 and it is always empty. Now am I not looking in the right place (s/b listed under micro limits)?? I've just started playing and not sure I want to shuffle off to another site for a little bit. There is also news that Empire is rolling out more tables and tourneys soon....does anyone have an idea of when?

100NL 6max seemed to have some skilled players - way more than PP. I think most of them were Bonus whores. I finished last night and only broke even - so $200 profit from the Bonus. When I did the last Empire Bonus I played 25NL 6max and finished up 7 buyins.

I'm tired of playing NL 6max [B2B network] that I'm going to do limit 6max on this bad boy.

I have never tried, but meh.. I have 200 to find out how I do :-p.

The pot has to reach ~5 before it's raked but meh.... players are pretty bad and the play is not too bad.

I've gotten like 200 hands in and im down only 10... lots of swings but it's fun... what more can i say. It's funny to see a pot of 4 taken down by a bet of .50 Razz

Not bad for my first try at this!!

Good Luck

Done, took 12 1/2 hours playing 4 tables of 25NL 6 max. Cleared the whole Bonus easily and made a buy in. Probably could have made more if I had loosened up some, but main goal was to clear Bonus without any casualty's.

Of those 12 1/2 hours, I did 2 table 25PL Omaha for 1 1/2 hours just to see how that went. Was roughly the same rake wise as 2 tabling 6 max. But I did that late at night, so wasnt many tables to play.

yes! just finished! Though despite this crappy finish (occured within last 10 hands) I was up several buy-ins:

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $ BB (6 max, 6 handed) FTR Hand History Converter

MP ($24.75)
CO ($12.30)
Hero ($23.58)
SB ($36.30)
BB ($22.05)
UTG ($51.45)

Preflop: Hero is Button with KDiamond, KHeart. SB posts a blind of $0.10.
2 folds, CO raises to $0.5, Hero raises to $1.5, 2 folds, CO raises to $2.5, Hero raises to $15, CO calls $9.80 (All-In).

Flop: ($27.65) 6Diamond, 4Diamond, 2Diamond (2 players, 1 all-in)

Turn: ($27.65) 5Heart (2 players, 1 all-in)

River: ($27.65) JSpade (2 players, 1 all-in)

Final Pot: $27.65

Results in white below:

With twenty minutes to spare, I finished up exactly 400 including the Bonus. I have never in my life destroyed tables the way I did here. Still, finishing the Bonus was like trying to fit 10 pounds of shit into a 9 pound bag.
