Felt like complaining.
Here is the typical type of hand I've been seeing a lot over the past few days.
PokerStars 0.25/0.50 Hold'em (10 handed) FTR Hand History Converter

UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, UTG+2 calls, MP1 calls, 1 fold, MP3 (poster) checks, 1 fold, Button calls, Hero raises, BB calls, UTG calls, UTG+1 folds, UTG+2 calls, MP1 calls, MP3 folds, Button calls.
Flop: (14 SB) Q , Q , K (6 players)
Hero checks, BB checks, UTG bets, UTG+2 calls, MP1 folds, Button folds, Hero raises, BB folds, UTG folds, UTG+2 calls.
Turn: (9.50 BB) 3 (2 players)
Hero bets, UTG+2 calls.
River: (11.50 BB) J (2 players)

Final Pot: 15.50 BB
Hero has Jh Kh (two pair, kings and queens).
UTG+2 has Ac Ts (flush, ace high).
Outcome: UTG+2 wins 15.50 BB.
----
Pot was large, so I should have called the flop and check/raised the turn, got lucky that people folded to my flop check/raise.
But other than that...
Yeah, UTG+2 had the odds to continue to the river and all, but even with the odds in play, every time it seems like my hand can be drawn out on, it is. Then, when I finally flop something good and tough to beat, I'm heads up and don't get much action to make up for my losses.
Hands like this + minimal action on my winning hands = Downswing City |
