Just wondering if anyone has a good method of getting a crease out of a kem card...
My flatmate tried to show her freinds how good the cards were and that you could bend them. One of her freinds bent the corner right over and creased it. |

| Because of the use of the term "flatmate" you get no response. We already have enough Brits stinking up these boards and don't need some Aussie making it worse. The fact that you allowed a girl to handle you KEMs = double no response. Only thing that little hussy needs to be showing her friends is how to make food for you and your poker buddies during your home games. |

D00d, wtf? Don't be a jerk.
Anyhow, as to how to fix the card, I don't know of any way to do that. You can, however, order single replacement cards from KEM. Check the As? (A of something, for sure) for a letter/number code. You should be able to order a replacement from them with that code. |

You need to run the card under steaming hot water from the faucet and smooth it out with your fingers. It doesn't hurt to have hot rag to do the smoothing out. It all depends on how bad the crease is. The crease I fixed wasn't a bad crease so it only took about 5 minutes to get it out.
If it's a bad crease, it might help to run it through a dishwasher cycle first. And PRESS HARD when smoothing it out. |

| Last time I got a crease in one of my KEM cards (J of spades in case you were wondering) I took the card and placed it on a hard, flat surface. Then I took a large stack of 10K chips and placed it over the crease and went to bed. When I woke up the next morning, presto... the crease was gone. I have found that it only works with 10K chips or higher denominations so if you're a small timer you might as well buy a new deck because you're scewed. |

lmao...
the high roller approach - use home remedies to fix the deck
the penny player approach - buy a new damn deck.....cause there is no hope

Next time your flatmate wants to demostrate the power of the KEM cards, get her to use the replacement card order card.
You can no longer get replacement cards from KEM because The U.S. Playing Card Company has bought them out and are trying to ruin the finest name in cards...
To fix your problem I would try bending the card back the opposite way and try to work the crease out as best you can with your hand. Then get your flatmate (or anything else heavy like a lead weight) to sit on the card over night and hopefully the card will iron itself out. |
