Also, what do you think about going for blind steals into loose players... just don't do it without a reasonable hand? |
Bring big cards or a pair but don't worry about domination. Value bet and don't spray. Position + playable hand against bad players = $$$bling$$$. Hands like 76s go way down in value when stealing against someone who's going to defend a lot, play aggro or take lots of hands to the river. |

Hi-Jack. The position right before the Cut-Off which is right before the ButtoN. |

YES!
play in HJ is very similar to play in CO
play in MP1 is very similar to play in UTG+1 |

YES!

play in MP1 is very similar to play in UTG+1 | Should I play it the same as the SSH recommendations for late position instead of middle position? |

In SSH games, isolation and blind wars aren't key parts of crushing the game.
Read my orginal post 2 more times. It's all in there. |

chronic cold callers DO suck, i've noticed how a good hand can quickly go bad because he basically lets in the rest of the table for a cold call.
It's the only time i'd ever complain about getting too many calls, you're basically forced to play tighter. |

Many players know some of it, few know all of it, fewer still implement much of it. Many of the TAgg-like players I'm seeing are sitting in horrible games, bad seats in luke-warm games and passing on lots of value. |

yes I think a lot of the Taggs will sit in a great game and not leave when it turns to shit... I have done it and I have told many limit players in vent after seeing them at a terrible table to get off it... and they didn't even realize it was terrible...
I know i have leaks in my game, but I think I can distinguish between a rock fest and a loose passive table... |

| "Past study of large PokerTracker databases taught me something very important. A comparative handful of extremely bad players lose almost all the money. These 65%+ VP$IP players lose over 10 BB/100. Ordinary bad players lose maybe 2 BB/100 .... The super-donators can't hold their own against nine sock puppets" - Stellar Wind |

When I started playing hold'em I was fixated by charts, what I should play from where and how.
Then I started digging into why those charts are the way they are. What hands play well in what circumstances and the thought process behind them. Pre-flop became almost robotic.
After I while I took it a step further and discovered that pre-flop flows into post-flop. A raise vs a call can totally change the post-flop texture of a hand. Passing on a little value on one street can setup-up greater value on the next street.
Finally I really got it. The most fucking important part of pre-flop is the value of your hand relative to the position + hand strength + post-flop skill of those that have already entered the pot and those likely to enter it. Hence, as we gain information the charts becomes less relevent and the calculations increasingly murky. |
