Anyone from around that area played there? I hear they have a pretty cool poker room. In February I am taking a trip to AZ to play golf at 3 different courses but at night I'd like to play some poker. Anyone tell me anything about what to expect? What kinda games they have, what kinda stakes....etc... |

| We must have some poker players from Arizona. I know we don't play online all the time. |

I will be going to Scottsdale, AZ, next week and will definitely play at Casino Arizona at Talking Stick (there's 2 Casino Arizona's but I think only Talking Stick has a poker room). It's like 10 minutes from my parents' house. Will post a report for sure.

| Awesome! If you could, specifically check out the limit games they have going since thats the only ring I play. Also the might have some nightly/weekly tournaments and any info you can get about those would be great. |

Yeah I can call about that but I can't get the other information. Am I supposed to ask them which games are softest? I'm more interested in the play during these tournaments and in the ring games, than the buyin. |

| I appreciate the detailed analysis of these two casinos. I usually play 6/12 at the casino. I can't believe they only use $1 chips. I would expect them to use $2 chips for the 6/12 game. I'm going the beginning of Feb, I think I may pass on Casino AZ. |

I'm sure this is too late. I have a couple of buddies that play at Gila River in south phoenix. They play a couple times a week. I moved from the area before ever sitting in on a game. I did observe it a little one night. the had 1/2 2/4 and 3/6 tables.
They play quite a bit and have checked out the rooms at the Ff., Casino AZ, and others and this is where they play.
There is also a harrah's in the same area of the valley that has a lot of traffic but it is about another 20 miles south. If you are going east check out Apache Gold.
My buddies say the Gila is the place to play if you are going to play poker in the PHX. I actually talked to one of them tonight and he said he had been doing well there. |
