beat: so is florida, and they look mighty tough.
if I were a gambling man, I'd take Florida on this one (and I don't even know what the spread is yet).

| Thx, found it on espn. They have some decent pics from the game. This pic would be even better if he had made this dunk. But it still looks fucking scary as hell. |

December - Basketball - FL 86, OSU 60
January Football - FL 41, OSU 14
If we win Monday night OSU will OFFICIALLY be Florida's prison bitch. Of course that is a BIG if since OSU is MUCH better now than they were in December. |

how can you say this is the worst march madness in a while? Although there havent been any major upsets besides Duke, every game has been played great and ends in a close game.
i would say this has been one of the BEST march madnesses in a long time as far as quality of basketball goes. |

ya for real, it seems like every game I watch (and there's been a lot), it's a close game late in the 4th and both teams are playing well...
by the way, my realistic assessment of the game goes something like this:
Two best teams in college bball, just like in football. I'd put Florida at #1 and OSU at #2 this time around. I give Florida a slight edge due to their tournament experience and their comfort level in the Georgia dome (SEC tournament was played there). As far as pure talent goes though, it's hard to beat what OSU is putting on the floor. |

I actually got all the final four teams and games correct so far which is the first time I've ever done that.
Unfortunately, even though I want OSU to win, Florida is going to win 83-79 tonight. |

| Greg Oden, coming soon to an NBA franchise near you. That was one hell of a way to go out, too bad they didn't win. |

I am actually very surprised you would say this after watching 1 game of OSU all year, where he played like 35 minutes and dominated against the best team in the country.

while both seasons ended with disappointments, being the second best team in both major sports is certainly nothing to be ashamed of. Virginia who???? |

it really seemed that the game-plan was to guard down low very well and gamble a bit on the 3 pointers, and that definitely backfired. Not to mention OSU was like 2-20? from behind the 3 point line. I mean if they sink a few 3's and a couple of Oden's blocked shots don't go back to florida only to have them hit 3's, it's really a tight game.
Florida was the better team coming in though and they played better, there's no way around it. Congrats to them. |

| OSU makes some 3's and rebounds Oden's blocked shots, the game is totatly different. I wouldn't say that Florida pwned OSU. They played well and won, congrats to Florida. Very proud of my Bucks! However, if you're not first you're last. |

OSU has cost me many $ 's this year in football and now basketball. Oh well, great game. Many things could've changed and possibly with a different outcome, the only thing that really stands out at me is... can anyone please get the loose fuckin' ball after Oden makes a big time BLOCK, c'mon now 4 huge blocks and not once did OSU get the loose ball!!
*Florida wanted it more and surely had 5 players who played like they wanted it more! That's all there is to it. 5 players to 1 will always come out on top! |

| I really hope Oden comes to the Celtics. Team could use a big man like him. That was a frustrating game...never really felt like Ohio state got them into that realistic come back range. Oh well. |

If you defend the low post they kill you with the perimeter game, if you defend THAT they kill you with the post. Pick your poison.
BTW, I completely disagree that Oden won't make it in the NBA. That dude made some sick plays last night going up against two first round draft picks in Noah and Horford.
and finally, Props to Ohio State. They played a great game, but just couldn't keep up with the Gators. I honestly believe that FL was the best team in the country this year and if you played this tournament 5 times with different matchups each time we would win it 4 of the 5.
Now I am off to learn the names of our freshmen and sophomores who will be the starting 5 next year. |

Weren't gabe and DaNuts joking when they said Oden isn't ready for the NBA. Lukie had just posted that he'd lock the thread when someone said something he didn't like, and I assumed that they were just giving Lukie crap. I don't think anyone here believes he's going to be a bust. |

P.S. Florida is now 2nd behind Michigan as one of the teams I despise. Notre Dame is 3rd. |
