Villain is a decent reg (KGB for those who have played i nterpoker over the past year), a little tighter than most. He c bets less and, from my experience with him over the past year, he doesn t seem to v bet very thinly.
However, we haven't played for awhile and he's obv moved up nicely in stakes. He thinks I'm very aggro and very tough and has hero-called a couple times. I haven't spewed into him, however, for a very long time.
Game is nl 10-20, 2700$ eff stacks
Villain raises 3x, nitty button calls and I call from BB w AJo
Flop (195$) is
Villain bets 125, btn folds, I call.
Turn (445$) is
check check
River (445$) is
Board now reads
I lead out for 335
Villain thinks for about 20 secs and raises to 900
I tank and shove (as a bluff obv) for about 1.6k more |

Don't you think he'll barrel AK most of the time and even AQ some of the time?
Depending on what you think his barreling frequencies are, I'm not even convinced we need to bluff jam here. AJ could be good if he rarely gets to river with AK or AQ this way.
AQ is probably the most likely hand if beat I'd say. |

AQ is the most likely hand when beat, but I feel like we're always beat here, sooooo.... def wouldn't call river.
Not sure if Fold>shove>call or shove>fold>call though, given history and weird villain. I'd probably fold i think. |

calling preflop seems bad, leading the river may be thin (i guess you expected to always be ahead though...).
I really like the 3bet shove on the river though. I would expect a fold from lots of people, especially sincethe timing shows he was clearly afraid of this before he decided to raise. |

Yeah idk about calling pre here.
His raise on river is ridiculously confusing, guess it has to be AK/AQ right? I mean if he's raising AK/AQ he has to think there is little chance your beating him and he may convince himself to call. Although, he is going to have to put you on turning a good made hand into a bluff which i highly doubt he will do. River all in seems good. |

| hah this is a sick hand but since this player is one of the only Boss players capable of making big folds i like it. Against almost any of the other regs i would bet/fold the river. |

| My problem with the 3b is that villain isn't expecting his raise to get any credit. I'd just fold. |

i think people expect to get inf credit for AQ-AK but they DEFINITELY need to consider raise calling some % when they have it vs an aggro hand reader since their range is capped... |
