I'm in the market for a popping Gas Grill... Thinking about the Weber Genesis E-320... or EP-320.

Any thoughts?

Looks like a kick-ass grill, but can't give much help beyond that as we have a $300 Char-Broil grill.

If you have a grill already and can wait until September/October you'll save a ton of money on whatever grill you purchase. We got our $300 grill for like $99 or something because they were trying to make space for Winter-items at Home Depot.

I fully recognize it's sub-par food prep. I had swore them off for many years while in college, but when you wake up someday with a wife, two kids and 60+hour/week job... well, it's difficult to climb up on this high-horse 3-4 times per week.

I think that too many of the grill makers are planning the obsolence of their grills any more... used to buy a $100 grill and it lasted 3-4 years... now you are lucky to get a season out of one for $169.

Ok, yes I'm just bitching.

I didnt read the entire thread but ill throw in some opinions

If you can, get a natural gas powered bbq over a propane model. It costs 1-$200 to get another line run (usually) from your main to where your bbq will be. Natural gas is far cheaper than propane, and you never run out half way through cooking your steaks.

Over time, the cost savings between your residental natural gas costs and propane costs it really works out well. I haven't bothered in pricing it out.

If your going to buy a bbq, get an all stainless steel model. Also look for a model that has parts that are readily available; or when you buy it, find replacement burners at that time so when they crap out you can just replace them.

costco usually has good deals on bbqs.

kingnat.. you could just braise all your "bbq" and cook your burgers/brats/dogs in a skillet. Just pour a bit of liquid smoke in everything.

ok, Ill stop trolling you now Smile

Going to pick up a smoker box 4 sho... but probably not the rotessirereserse kit. (I wasn't too sure how to spell that, but I'm pretty sure I nailed it.)

mmm... so hangry!!

Nice grill there Kingnat, but why is the wifey in a sweatshirt? You live in Michigan or some cold ass place like that. Oh wait, that looks like a Nebraska sweatshirt on you. If that is the case then we have something in common. We both think Ohio State sucks.
