lol I saw this hand while we were playing, but I didn't know that you had KK's during it! holy... nice fold. I probably would have just called for like pot-odds
I'd say UTG+1's range is strongly AA or KK here. UTG can probably have like QQ+ sometimes.
So you're getting 2:1 essentially if we assume that UTG will come along after you so you need 33%.
equity win tie pots won pots tied
Hand 0: 15.073% 12.15% 02.93% 13986174 3369912.00 { KcKh }
Hand 1: 65.267% 59.60% 05.66% 68630262 6520284.00 { KK+ }
Hand 2: 19.660% 16.67% 02.99% 19195062 3441642.00 { QQ+, AKs, AKo }
Good fold, good fold!
Sick 13k day. Yah you definitely need coaching imo lol I guess I need to get my act together if I wanna stay up in this bet! |

Still haven't got my coaching sessions yet, my coach is too busy beating up on durrrr at 200/400.. what an poopyhead
I just had a ridiculous session, filled with tears, and pain, and agony, frustration.... but somehow managed to turn things around and managed to profit. Weird. I think play 6 tables + HU and shorthanded tilts me soooo much. I mean, no wonder why HU poker is sooo profitable, you're so prone to either DESTROY or get destroyed, unless you have incredible control over your emotions.
All is good, gn peepz! |

Blahhhh tilt post!!!
So I grind like 2/5 and 5/10 like a maniac today, end up 9k and somehow below EV still. Cool.
I come back from a pub after a sweet victory for the habs in shootouts, fire up some late nite fishy tables and BOOOOM! Get sucked out on a cpl times and then I decide to play some 20/40 soft game with fishes and lose KQ vs AQ on Qxx flop for a stack. Somehow I lose 9k and back to zero for the day!!. So tilting to work your ass off for 6hrs then lose it all I feel like it always happens, and WE KNOW it's gonna happen, but we still do it and HOPE it won't happen. But it does, it always does. So don't move up to chase losses kids, it WILL happen.
In other news, I've tried making a vid today but I'm really new to this and feel like I'm not quite sure what to talk about. I think that having a certain topic for the vid helps, so maybe I'll try that next time. Anyways I'll keep on trying and eventually I'll post the vid here when I'm satisfied with it!!!

| If you're doing a training type vid, then I think having a bunch of notes written down on topics can help (its what I did when I did the SNG noobie vid for FTR). That way you can chat through spots etc while playing and fill in dead air with your preplanned talking points. |

Definitely! I have memberships to all 4 major training sites : DC, CR, Leggo, and Pokersavvy. These guys have coached me for the past 2 years, I def recommend everyone subscribes to at least one.
I also think CR got their act together finally. Since the new website the quality has increased dramatically. |

| Can you elaborate (if you are willing) on the benefits or perks that these coaching sites offer their instructors? It seems like they would be unable to give fair compensation to top notch players, especially given that they are already making so much playing poker... |

I'm not sure what they pay the instructors, but the high stakes guys have a piece of that company so that makes sense. I'm just offering my coaching services through CR to get more exposure, I'm not making videos or anything like that, so no perks for me They take a small cut. |

Things are going well, the month started with a few 25/50 and 50/100 (shortstack) shots gone wrong, but I recovered and I'm set to have another solid month in poker.
I'm also 5-6k away from winning my 3rd prop bet vs Griffey, which is pretty ridiculous given the unfavorable odds I laid myself in this one. What a fish he is
Also, here's an interesting hand from today that made me go "whatttt?". He's a good higher stakes reg..

UTG raises to $40, 1 fold, Hero raises to $122, 2 folds, UTG calls $82

lmao, I only needed like 1k to win the bet vs Griffey.. I could prolly play 200nl and take it easy right? NOOOOOO, i end up playing some 5 10 and 10 20 and dropped like 6k.
I will not give up, I have about 24hrs to make those 7k and win the bet. I'm taking a break then back to crushing, here we gogogogoo!!!! |

sick induce! very nice... pretty thin VB in the first place though lol.. does he call worse ever?
If you're willing to call a shove here, I think I like a smaller bet around 110-120ish in terms of both thin value and inducing. |

I kind of disagree about the bet sizing, i think 144 lets him induce very well since he has 536 remaining. 110 i think is too small, but if he had like 400 i would do it 110, imo...
Also made a vid today, it felt good. I'm not sure I'll make it public yet, but im gaining more experience slowly and i think eventually ill make one worthy to be displayed in public.
Geni - Rav owned my soul a little, i was being pretty aggro, he thought i was monkey tilting, but meh.. i think i played okay, but he doesnt fold so wtv We'll play longer next time |

haha yesss ok for real like we should actually set a time and actually do this on inter. I'm sure alex could even call platinum club and get them to reserve him a couple tables and maybe even have them block a 6th person!
he ownssss them
oh and having a short-stacker would definitely add an interesting dynamic. |

Lucky - River would be an easy call vs this guy, which is a total insult to the way he plays lol
I just realized it's almost been a year since I started this thread, and I lol'ed at reading the first page of this thread, seeing how much I have improved since then. I'll probably do a recap of this year sometime in December, with new goals for the next year.
As for this month, I'm around breakeven, had some huge swings though but not playing that much either to even out the variance. I'm not that motivated tbh, just can't wait to leave on my Carribean cruise on Nov 15th and have some fun. |

hey guys, long time no updates!!
CPC cruise was a freakin blast, but was very tiring at the same time cuz of so much partying. The boat stopped at 3 islands in the Caribbean, but St-Maarten was my favorite by far, i dont think ive ever seen such clean blue-greenish water ever, not even comparable to Cuba or the dominican... i hope one day ill be baller enough to have a summer house in this true Paradise.
As for poker, November has been shit, sort of. I was up like 15k before CPC, but didnt feel like playing at all when i returned, so had to play high stakes to get motivated, and i obv dropped like 15k at 10/20+ to finish breakeven for the month.
I also decided I'm no longer playing below 5/10. I feel like im so much better than the average 5/10 players that there is no point for me to ever play lower again. Today was good as I won about 13k playing mostly 10/20. I think I can start pulling 100k months from now on if I just keep playing fewer tables and table selecting 5/10-25/50 on a cpl different sites.
I still havnt had any request for coaching, lol. I mean at this point I have realized it's rly rly not worth it for the money, since my hourly is >3x more, but i would still love to have like a protege, i think it would be challenging and rewarding at the same time.

Maybe its the sites you play? Nobody really hears about the people crushing the euro sites but if someone has a big month on stars or tilt its usually all over 2+2. Just a guess though since your obviously a solid winner.
Do you offer your coaching services in french? |
