I 3bet this flop to see where i was at? I intended the whoel time to fold to a push but i thought i would lose less by 3betting and folding than calling and checking the turn and being faced with a large bet with no idea of the shape im in.

| Why minraise 3-bet the flop? Put in a decent raise. Otherwise I like the fold. |

You reraised from 18 to 35 which is a very weak play with almost any possible hand.
If you had the stone cold nuts, you unveiled the strength of your hand when there wasn't enough money in the pot to commit your villain.
If you were on a stone cold bluff, you didn't bet enough to have any folding equity.
If you put him on a hand like A8, then just threebet push. Otherwise you should just call here most of the time and re-evaluate on the turn. |
