7 Card Stud Newbie

I just played a freeroll 7 card stud tourney on PS and finished 112 out of 2500 or so... not bad for my first serious attempt at 7cs (I have played the penny game before, but always as a stress reliever after a bad beat in hold-em)

I went from 35th place to out in two hands. I realized the first one I made a newbie mistake with the re-raise on 7th street and the second one just hurt...

So my question is, should I of put less value on the flush? Should I stop trying to chase the flush as much as I did? I realized the second may of had a boat, but I put him on two pair... comments?

I'm taking this as a learning lesson, as I learned a lot about the game in my 3 hours of play (so it wasn't all for naught)
