he did. this is standard. you lost to a 3 outer. it happens. you made the right play, but since this is a tournament, it doesn't matter as one bad beat can possibly kick you out.

in the wcooop, Panella86 was raised on his big blind. Thinking it was a blind steal, he pushed all in with T-4 o/s. The guy with AK called. Flop came: A-k-blank... two diamonds on flop. Turn a diamond. River a diamond. Panella had 4 of diamonds. BAM. Over

Great call by the guy raising his big blind? YES. Great call by panella86? NO NO NO. But who won? The guy with the bad call

to be a tournament player, you need to know that. All too often my KK is called by KQ who rivers a straight or even worse things. Just understand its part of the game and let the fish push with KQ after thinking it rivers a straight everytime its against AA Smile

no he didnt push all in, he called an all in.

it might just be semantics but there are situations where it makes a difference.

limp re-raise with KQo, that's what you call running without the ball. You should be HAPPY when you see AK vs KQ, you're a big favorite.

How can people even post these threads and say "did I do anything wrong", when its AK losing to KQ. seriously..

I didn't ask if i did anything wrong, i ask if i could've played it differently. i know AK vs. KQ is a favorite. also this is not about a bad beat. I was 20/42 when this hand occurred. I really wanted to make the final table and i had seen at least 4 players bust out in similar situations holding AK within the last hour.

I guess this is more about how to play AK? sure its a favorite against alot of hands but its basically a drawing hand, 7 2 can beat you if you're unimproved. so do you risk your tourney life on it by calling all in by an aggr opponent?

I agree with this. I should've pushed preflop, maybe he calls and i still lose but maybe he folds. i think its a better play.
or
Just call hm, if help arrives on flop then push, if not then fold to heavy action.... really weak tight... not my style but with this play i'm left with "meat on the bone" to continue in the tourney.

Push preflop, it's not even close.

Don't expect Fucktards to fold two broadway either, you just got ul.

Also work on getting a better luckbox.

trust me, it feels worse to limp to the FT and get blinded out and think "Man, I should have played that AK" while you're AI with 97o - than it does to go out here as a big favorite.
