It really looks like you have 2 high cards that missed.
My first thought was to check behind on the turn as well, but that's a tough river.
Villian limp calls... so he could have 88, or even 34/56/67. Can't really give him credit for quads or JJ-AA.
I guess with no reads it's a fold... but a tough one. I think I fold 77 here always, but TT??
I think if you are going to fold for 300 more, you might be better off betting the turn again for say 200 or so. Any action at all (call or raise) and you are done.
Am I missing something obvious? |

I don't see what that accomplishes. If TT is good here, the villain probably has 5 outs at best, and I sure don't think it's a money-making play to try to push an unknown player off a hand that beats TT on this board. |

If he was floating he wouldn't bet the river right?
Though I see countless players making this fundamental mistake at 400NL. |

What is it then? In my mind floating is putting a person on missed overs and calling their bets because of this. You can do this OOP, it sucks because even if you are right on the flop, they get a free card on the river.
Unless this is people with 2pr/set who make no money off my missed overs? |

its calling a flop bet in position planning on stealing the pot on a later street. if you are out of position the bluff bet (which ends up happening on the river instead of the turn) gets picked off way too much when people check behind the turn with pairs on dry boards. when the board is draw heavy, the original bettor can fire another barrel and you lose any opportunity to steal the pot.
lots of problems come up out of position |

I'm talking about pf call, flop call, turn goes check, check and then they bet a non A river. |

you probably arent firing again on the turn often enough when you miss
thats one of the most important skills in these aggressive 6max games |

I see your point, but I guess I don't understand check-behind turn fold river with an overpair, even on a paired board.
Aces line is basically:
TT no good here
-or-
villian never bluffs river
Which is not necessarily wrong. |

| Standard until the river fold. You got pot control, and induced the bluff so now call it. |
