I'm pretty much a PLO8 noob, but is this standard? Is this OK preflop also? I'm still totally lost when it comes to preflop decisions, what to limp, what to raise, what to call raises with... just sorta wingin' it.

why don't you describe the features of your hand pre flop?

On the flop I can make a case for calling because you hand that screams out for multiway action (contrast if you had A2JJ rainbow you wanna raise all you can and fast), but getting it all in is not bad at all.

PF, my thinking was to see flop cheaply with a speculative hand, as opposed to a hand like AAxx that would benefit from raising to thin the field?

What do you do with hands like these when you're in late position with limpers in front? People seem to have no concept of good hands preflop so everybody's limping all sorts of crap.

I think u played it fine.
On the flop I would raise it a bit less because I want a call.

Okay, you've got in my opinion a top 15% hand here.

You have A2 for low, no CFP, suited Ace, and the AK. Your hand is similar in power to A239 rainbow.

I like to raise these hands in EP to 2.5 or 3 BB, and I raise them to 3BB in late position, and probably the same in the blinds. You're not trying to thin out the field, but just to build the pot and may them pay with hands like 24JK. If you miss the flop you can fire or check/fold or even check/raise depending on the circumstances. But don't bet the full pot. In PLO8 you shouldn't be potting too often (unless you're raising).

Anyway, you just have to play more hands
