the river bet is fine. it practically puts him all in and you have to call if he bets his full house anyway.
but what are you doing on the flop? If you're going to check it (which is okay for defensive reasons), then you should raise once someone takes the bait. Pot size raise and put the rest in on the turn is the only way to go with a straight that cannot improve, with higher straights and flushes out there as well as the possibility of a board pair. Running 4s aren't the worst case. |
