My thoughts:
25o Under the Gun?!?! I wouldn't play that from the small blind.
Should I have raised him on the turn? I didn't think a 5 was likely bet from UTG, so I had him on a pocket pair, Ace-Big or flush draw, maybe a bluff at the strait.
Why didn't he put me all in when I raised him after the turn?

I think that hand was well played. It's certainly ridiculous to play 52o from UTG, but that's what we can expect from the multitude of horrific players out there.

Why didn't he raise your turn bet? Because he's the same idiot that played 52o. Can't rationally explain the actions of crazy people.

With regards to the raise on the turn, I think that one could go either way. Personally, I probably would have raised also to test that bet. There are some legitimate hands he could've had - A5s, K5s, 55 - but you're right, the odds seemed slim. By raising, you give him the opportunity to fold, and if he goes all-in, then you could probably put him on the straight.

Glad your river card came so you could take that fool's money.

I like the way it was played. He may not have put you all in on the turn because he was worried about someone with a higher straight(holding 58) but more than likely he didn't because he is a moron.

Limping in with a small pair with the hopes of flopping a set is the way I generally play them too. The set comes on the flop and the board is rainbow so there's no flush threat. There is a possible straight on the flop if someone has 56 but I like the half pot flop bet. RiverTrout get his straight on the turn(unbelievable, who plays 52 offsuit UTG ?!?).

Fortunately you took down the pot in the end with the full house.

I do, I not only call with a 5-2o but Ill raise it. Many times Ill go all in after the flop if there is a chance I can backdoor a straight, just me though.

Ragin: I don't see how you can raise a 52o, even if you're small blind. Personally I would probably just fold, or maybe sometimes pay the .25 to see the flop if I've been hot. Seems like raising on this hand preflop will result in a negative EV overall.

No explanation really. Losing to idiots like that really pisses me off. I would add his name to the buddy list and be sure to look him up some time and take his money, or at least watch him lose it to someone else.
