Villain is unknown, this is my first orbit, he hasn't played a hand yet. I think my line is cool, I can even rep some missed flush draw and may even get JJ looking me up, or no?
I think we can discount boats a bit because I mean who really just doesn't fucking raise somewhere earlier in the hand given the billion draws and the button overcalling on flop.

| Looks pretty standard... depending on the read of the villain. A lot of pair type hands or 10x might pay you off a good amount of the time here. If he has some weird boat or trips, oh well its only 1 buy in and you have aces. |

I think that shoving here can cost you a lot of value - your line looks hella strong.
Thinking of some hand combos:
Axcc - villain is folding most of the time
full houses - you're stacking off
JJ/QQ - may call $14 but not a shove, but probably call a shove
AT/JT/9T/99 type of hands - fold to a shove, call even a slightly smaller value bet.
-> against his possible calling range = maybe 99 and stronger you can generate more value from a smaller bet. Shoving is simpler though, and maybe he already decided on the turn that you're fos |

I don't think I'd ever give an unknown credit for being able to fold a T or JJ-QQ here daven.
I probably bet slightly larger on each street. Not to stereotype, because I know people still have ranges and minds, but you are more likely to get called by worse here due to the stakes. Also given the wetness of the board I'm trying to get the most money in as early as possible. That combined with the plentiful number of hands that I think will call a <3/4 pot river shove that we beat, I don't understand how this is anything but b/b/shove.
I also don't think you're really repping anything but your value range to an unknown. Seems strange to say he's unknown then infer the level of thinking that is nec. for you to rep a bluff, or be concerned that he's aware of what you betting means in general. |

I had a similar situation last night and I wondered after it was over if I should have bet something smaller on the river. I figured he was commited with his range which was almost all Ax. Anything other than that wouldn't call anyways so I figured a shove might look more bluffy than say 50% pot.

yes, however it may be better to 4x at 25nl since I'm rarely getting squeezed/3bet a ton and the regs are pretty weak tight so they give up pots postflop easier. I adjust my raise size to 4x from all positions at <10nl. I've experimented with everything but less than 3x really, though I have started min raising (particularly in 6max) depending on who is to my left when in late position.
@ Illfavor, I agree with most players not folding JJ or QQ here. I also think that what we're repping isn't much on concern either, the standard play is for villain to look at his cards, look at the board, 'put me on ace king' and snap call my river shove. |

I think he played it terribly especially given the buttons overcall. Must have been afraid I over setted him though cuz OMG I CBET THIS BOARD INTO 2 PPL OOP AND ALSO BET THE TURN
