villain was 36/25/3.
Our image is tight. Should we c-bet this?

it doesn't really matter

if you c-bet and are called, then you get to shove any broadway on the turn

if you check-fold, it sucks for getting action on your overpairs vs this villain. that's kind of shitty since he seems loose preflop...

what's more important is to ask yourself, what happens if you c-bet and fold to a shove, pick up ak a couple orbits later, and the flop comes nothing again?

I see your point. and vs this kind of villain check-fold is bad.
As for the point if I c-bet and fold to a shove, I think this would require changing speeds with the same hand.
