PacificPoker Sign-Up Guidelines - 25% Bonus
I signed up for PacificPoker on October 5th, 2004 to try the poker room out.
Signing up to Pacific Poker was straightforward, and it was easy to get the 25% BONUS.
I clicked on one of the PacificPoker
links, which took me to the website where I clicked on the bonus picture
in the upper right corner of the site. I was then taken to a download page that said the following:
Download of PacificPoker is about to start...
A dialog box will apear shortly. Click either "Open",
"Run" or "Save" and follow the instructions below.
If you chose the "Save" option:
1. Select a location to which the "PacificPoker.exe" file will be saved to;
we suggest that you choose your Windows Desktop.
2. Click "Save".
Please Note: If you have decided to save the program to a
different folder, remember the exact location you saved it to.
3. Go to your Desktop (or the location where you saved the "PacificPoker.exe" file) and double click on the Pacific Poker icon; setup will now begin after which Pacific Poker will be launched automatically.
Fill in the registration form.
Select your favorite table from the Poker lobby and
that's it, you're ready to play!
I saved the pacificpoker.exe 148Kb on my desktop and then launched it. The wizard was straightforward, I hit next the whole time. Adding cash with Neteller was easy, I deposited $300 and the $75 bonus appeared seconds later.
PacificPoker's bonus is immediately credited to your account for you to play with. Unlike most other online poker
rooms, where you must earn your bonus dollars by playing a certain number of hands
before being able to use them,
Pacific Poker gives you the bonus up front to wager with. You may not withdraw these bonus
dollars immediately, but you can play with them!
I verified what we has already been discussed in the forums at the time
- no limit Texas Holdem ring games were not offered by Pacific Poker.
The cash games at the time were only limit holdem,
no limit Texas Holdem ring games would be introduced by Pacific Poker later.
However, PacifcPoker had no-limit holdem tournaments.
I signed up for a $10+1 NL holdem tourney right away. Didn't get any cards at first.
You start with $800 in chips and the initial blinds are $10 - $20.
My first playable hand was 88. Flop came Q72 and everyone checked. Turn brought a K, it was bet big to me and I folded.
One of the first things I noticed, unlike Absolute and PokerStars, is that the tables seat
a full 10 players, not 9. This is better for someone who has studied and practiced the full
10 player ring/tourney game.
Pacifc Poker's FAQ section addresses the question of multi-tabling -
PacificPoker.com allows Players to participate in only one tournament at a time. If you are registered for two tournaments with overlapping scheduling, PacificPoker.com will refund your buy-in for the tournament with the later commencement time.
