Doyles Room Review by lolzzz_321 on 06 May 2011

rating 2 / 5
Deposited here after Black Friday and overall, I was pleasantly surprised. Depositing was easy with my Visa which was kinda surprising. The graphics kinda suck and i miss my card mods from Full Tilt, but the bad players make up for it. Their tournaments are filled with fish. I haven't played many of their cash games but they should be soft since the room isn't infested with multi-tabling pros. I can't really complain about the $1k bonus from FTR either. Overall, soft tables and they let me deposit so I'm not complaining.
good site for us players by kiwiMark on 05 May 2011

Now that Doyles Room is on yatahay it doesn't have as many
players as it used to, but the games are way softer. If you just
want to play texas holdem you should be able to always find
tables at your stakes. The software also got updated with the
change of network, and is not only great for quickly getting into
the action, but also has cool 3D graphics, and I haven't had any
problems with bugs or other software glitches. Haven't had any
chance/reason to try out the customer support sorry. Cool thing
is that doyles room looks pretty committed to always letting us
players play!

Doyles Room.com Overview
Recently, DoylesRoom moved from the Cake Poker Network, over to the Yatahay Network. Yatahay is also home to TruePoker. US players are welcome at DoylesRoom!
Doyle’s Room is, of course, sponsored by arguably the most famous poker player that has ever lived, Doyle Brunson. And he doesn’t just lend his name to the site; you can even play against him! There are many bounty tournaments where he puts a bounty on his head. If you knock him out, you win the extra money. He also shows up from time to time at the cash tables, so if you really want to, you can challenge him.
Playing for real money at DoylesRoom is a cinch. New players can choose from a wide range of deposit methods including all major credit cards, e-wallets, and even bank wires. The minimum deposit is $25 which is a bit high compared to other sites, but still reasonable. Players have fewer options when cashing out but can request bank transfers or use services such as Moneybookers or NETeller to remove funds from DoylesRoom.
Doyles Room offers an extremely wide selection of limits to play at in every game, so as to accommodate every style of player. Whether you’re looking to start a bankroll or build upon an already existing one, Doyle’s Room gives you a lot of options to choose from. Unfortunately, a lot of the higher stakes options are rather dead at this point in time. The mid-stakes games get a decent bit of action at peak hours, but the real fun can be found in their low-stakes games. Traffic has dropped a bit since the move to Yatahay, but there will be up to 10 full tables at $.50/$1.00 NL and even more at their microstakes levels. Players can choose from Texas Hold’em, Pot-Limit Omaha, and Omaha Hi/Lo by navigating through the Lobby.
Yatahay Network does not have as many tournaments and SNGs as PokerStars or Full Tilt Poker. Still, DoylesRoom offers its players a competitive tournament schedule. Their weekly tournament line up feautres a number guaranteed events and is highlighted by the Sunday $20,000 Guaranteed which carries a $150+$12 buy-in fee. $5 Double Up Sit and Gos appear to be the most popular STT game.
Doyle's Room Software Interface/Usability
The DoylesRoom software is lacking in several areas. First, trying to find your game using their clunky lobby is frustrating. Also, the visuals are terrible and they do not offer a Mac compatible client.
The DoylesRoom lobby is one of the worst we have reviewed. Instead of using a simple tab system for cash games, tournaments, and SNGs, DoylesRoom males you click on multiple tabs and radio buttons to switch between game types. Frankly, it's annoying.
When you take a seat, you'll notice the non-3D visuals are horrible. The graphics engine appears to be decades behind the time. Also, players name and amount of money all blend together in plain text. Besides the visual problems, lag creeps into the software when the action is on you. The software in general is slow. It takes several seconds to deal the cards every hand. To top it off, neither the 2D nor the 3D tables can be resized.
On the brighter side, DoylesRoom 3D version doesn't look too bad. We find the avatars a bit strange as we have never played poker with sultans or night elves. At DoylesRoom you'll encounter both. Following the action is easy thanks to a blinking light that appears on the player when it is his or her turn.
Overall, DoyleRoom's platform is disappointing. There are too many issues throughout the software to give it a passing grade. If DoylesRoom is serious, they should redesign their software from top to bottom.
Doyles Room.com Poker Room Action
Overall the cash game action at DoylesRoom is nowhere near as strong as PokerStars or FullTilt, but unless you are a high-stakes professional you should have little trouble finding a game. The same can be said for their tournaments and SNGs. While they may not have the schedule or diversity of games other major poker sites possess there are still plenty of players online at all times. Daily guaranteed tournaments run every day including bounty events where you can make extra money for knocking out the likes of poker great Doyle Brunson.
Unfortunately, DoylesRoom just isn't on a popular network. Even during peak hours there are just a few hundred players connected. If you're looking for more action we recommend PokerStars or Full Tilt Poker. Like DoylesRoom, both sites accept US players.
Doyles Room.com Ease of Game, Ease of Making Money, Fish Rating
DoylesRoom doesn't have much traffic but the players that do play are total fish. At cash games there is usually at least one person who doesn't have a clue. Tournament and Sit and Gos are even weaker. Players will stack off with marginal holdings all the time. If you can run good and put up with horrible software then you might make some good money at Doyles.
Doyles Room.com Bonuses and Promotions
DoylesRoom offer its new players a 100% up to $1,000 bonus. Just use bonus code FTR1000. You will have 40 days to clear the DoylesRoom Welcome Bonus.
To earn the bonus you must play real money games and earn FPPs. 1 FPP is earned for every $.01 in rake generated. Each time you earn 500 FPPs, $1 of the bonus will be released. This will happen until your full bonus amount is cleared, or the time runs out on the bonus. So for a $300 deposit, you will earn a $300 bonus and it would require 150,000 FPPs.
Besides a welcome bonus, DoylesRoom hosts various rake races. For example, in February, March, and April DoylesRoom is paying out $65,000 a month in prizes. First place is worth $7,500! Depending on the time of year, you can also make some cash if you place on the Tournament or Cash Game Leaderboard.
Brunson and his hand-picked Brunson 10 will also compete with players in bounty tournaments. $27.50 gets you a seat at the table and knocking out a sponsored pro will earn you $1,000! Eliminate 2 and you will receive $10,000. Knocking out 3 pros will net you a cool $50,000!!!
Like most online poker rooms, DoylesRoom is home to satellites to live events. Qualifiers under $5 are prevalent and could send you to the tropics to play for hundreds of thousands of dollars. Imagine turning $5 into $100,000! At DoylesRoom, it's possible.

I think DoylesRoom is the best room I
have ever played on. The fish are
amazing and the games are always full. I
love the fact that I can see the cards I
folded while the hand is being played.
I cashed out 1,000,000 Action Points the
other day for $1000 in cash! Way Cool

Doyles Room is one of the best poker
sites I have played. It is the only site
where I know you are treated with
respect. From not only Dolye himself but
the staff. The way the tables are set up
and all the tourneys that are available
are great with most of them being free.

I think the Managers who are monitoring
room chat are Tailibans from
afganistan,constantly shutting peoples
chat for some lame excuses, example all
some one has to say,Hey that guy in our
tournament table said a bad word, they
will cut off your chat. Then to be re
instated you have to beg for the
privlige.. HEY EVERY ONE THERE IS OVER
18 YRS old. Why do they do this? I guess
some one has to.its probably Doyles Mom.

3 times, the software has merged tables

The competition here is weaker than
you'd expect, considering the room is
called "Doyle's room", but I'm not
complaining. The interface is very
pretty and extremely smooth. If only the
player base was bigger, I'd play here
more often. Bonus is not really worth
the time to clear.
