If you are a U.S. player who is scrambling for an online site to play poker after Black Friday, then you should download Cake Poker. On my computer, a pop up window appears and tells me that I have chosen to open a .exe file and asks me if I would like to save this file. Depending on your computer system, the download process for you might be a little different. But for me, I simply click on the save file button and the Cake Poker software is then downloaded onto my computer and my download list then appears.
To download Cake Poker onto my computer I then double click on the CakeSetup from my download list which then causes another pop-up window to appear which asks me if I want to run this file. I click on the Run button which then starts the Cake Poker Set-up Wizard where I am asked which language I want to use, and then the actual set-up begins where I click next, I accept the user agreement and click next again, I choose all of the components to install and click next again, and then finally I click install.
The last step is then to click "Finish" which should then put the Cake Poker icon on your desktop and also automatically launch you into Cake Poker's game lobby.
Once you download Cake Poker and are in the lobby you will need to create your account so that you can begin to play. Click on the Create Your Account button and you will be taken to a webpage where you can sign up for your Cake Poker account.
Fill in your e-mail address, create a password, enter your birthdate and confirm that you are at least 18 years old, create your screen name, and then MAKE SURE that under the "How did you hear about us" question that you use the dropdown menu and select "I have a Sign Up Code" and then type in FTRRB.
After you have filled in all the information, click on the "Create Account" button and you should be taken to a webpage telling you that you have joined Cake Poker and explaining how you must confirm your e-mail address as one of your last steps before you can start playing.
Your next step is to go to your e-mail account and open the message that you have received from Cake Poker asking you to verify your Email. Simply click on the link provided in your e-mail message and your e-mail should be verified and you should be ready to play. Return to the Cake Poker lobby, click login and enter your e-mail and the password you just created, click the Login button, and that's it - you are done!
