Biggest Ever Online Poker Prize Showdown

 ParadisePoker.com will be responsible for the biggest online poker prize in history by awarding $1 million to the Million Dollar Free Roll Tournament winner, which takes place this weekend in Costa Rica.
Beating thousands of players to get the last round, the final nine, who include a chef, a software engineer and a foam fabrication shop manager, will meet for a face-to-face match to take home the big prize.
Paradise.Poker.com offered three free heats a day from the tournaments beginning on July 01 to August 26, which saw an average of 1000 players per heat. 3,900 players went on to compete to try and make it into the final nine.
ParadisePoker.com’s marketing manager, Bruce Stubbs, says the finalists are all “extremely talented amateurs who have the ability to take their game to the next level.” He believes “the free buy-in gave unheralded amateurs the opportunity to compete for professional-sized stakes, and they’ve stepped up. The competition is fierce.”
