ChiliPoker.com Overview

ChiliPoker was launched in 2004 by a Swedish team of internet poker enthusiasts. The team knew what they were doing during the development process because they created an enjoyable and competitive site to play on. Their merge with ‘Gaminfest’ (an investment fund created by European entrepreneurs) in 2006 led to further expansion in the international market. This growth is primarily responsible for getting ChiliPoker to where it is today.

Our experience with ChiliPoker was an overall pleasant one. The software is a comfortable play with few issues in navigating your way around it.

There are some cool and unique features on ChiliPoker. One is called MyStatistics, which offers players a complete overview of all their statistics (such as how many Frequent Player Points they have earned, total winnings, total losses, total number of played hands, and more). Players can also categorize their results to see which types of games they play best at. This is great for players trying to pinpoint their strengths and weaknesses. If players find they may be developing an unhealthy addiction to the game, they can also set up automatic limits by contacting ChiliPoker's support staff or their partner Addictel.

ChiliPoker also offers a unique debit card to its patrons. It's called the ChiliPoker Ukash MasterCard and is available to players that reach the Steel, Premium, or Ultimate status in ChiliPoker's VIP Club. It is accepted at ATMs and on the internet, giving players direct access to their poker winnings. Now this is something that more poker rooms should start offering! It gives you the ability to use your money for what you want, when you want. No more waiting days for a check you may need to pay last week's doctor bill.

ChiliPoker isn't short on offered freerolls. At least three run each day with prize pools of $50 to $100. They even offer country-specific freerolls for Hungarians ($50), the French ($100), and the Swiss ($50). New depositors are also welcomed with $12,000 worth of freerolls!

ChiliPoker is also home to the popular HotShop. Here, players at ChiliPoker can trade in their earned Frequent Player Points to buy trips, live tournament prize packages, hi-tech gadgets, and other ChiliPoker gear. The most popular selling items in the HotShop are the iPods, which range between 20,000 FPPs and 41,000 FPPs.

Unfortunately, ChiliPoker is located on the iPoker network and does not accept US players from any location.

ChiliPoker's Software Interface/Usability

ChiliPoker's software is impressive to say the least. A software update in the beginning of 2010 also makes it even more attractive. The interface is simple, clean-cut, and extremely functional. An instant play version is available for Mac and Linux users.

The first thing that grabs your attention is its color scheme. The purple and light-green colors compliment each other quite well and it is very pleasing to the eye. The interface is far from sloppy and the attractive graphics are presented quite nicely as well. At the bottom left of the lobby it shows your account balance, a pretty neat feature that avoids constantly going to the cashier to see what it is. Also, if you have a favorite seat that you prefer to sit in, ChiliPoker will rotate the tables for you so you can always have your preferred seating!

A "My Favourites" section lets you easily manage your buddies, save favorite tables and favorite tournaments, and set up a personal calendar.

During play, community cards are not only displayed on the table but in the chat window as well. Most poker rooms use text to communicate what the cards are in the chat window, whereas Chili Poker uses a graphical representation of the cards. After only a few uses it becomes a familiar tool.

The cards are attractive and simple. The symbol of each suit is displayed quite large on the card, providing an easy read.

Chili’s software also displays countdown timers for when blinds will be raised and when the next break in play will be. Few, if any, other software clients offer this feature; at least that we’ve noticed. In the upper right-hand corner of your table window will be those two counters and it’s a quick and easy reference point.

While Chili offers resizable tables, they also have a tiling function that will perfectly fit up to 4 tables on your computer screen.

ChiliPoker has an attractive hand history screen. It’s displayed in an almost spreadsheet-like format. It takes a few minutes to get used to this hand history screen but once you do you’ll fall in love with it. We haven’t come across a history viewer that we like better than this one.

There are a 2 different first deposit bonuses you can take part in at ChiliPoker. Direct sign-ups through FTR enjoy exclusive bonus codes that help them release these bonuses faster.

Perfect for beginners or lower stakes players is the deposit $20 and receive $100 bonus! All you need to do is enter the bonus code FTR20 and then collect 3500 Frequent Player Points (FPPs). Once you have earned the 3500 FPPs, your account will be automatically credited with the $100 bonus.

There is also the larger first deposit bonus of 150% up to $600! In order to receive this one, enter the bonus code FTR150. Then, for each $1 in bonus money you must earn 35 FPPs. Once all the FPPs have been earned, the bonus will be released into your account as one lump sum. For example, if your deposit bonus is equal to the full $600 amount you must earn 21,000 FPPs to release the bonus.

Now, if you look at ChiliPoker’s website, you may notice that they offer similar bonuses to anyone that signs up on their site. What makes our FlopTurnRiver bonus codes such a special offer? It has to do with the FPPs.

It is standard that ChiliPoker releases bonus money to its players at the rate of 40 FPPs per bonus dollar. However, with FTR's bonus codes, you earn your bonus money at the rate of just 35 FPPs per bonus dollar instead. You earn your bonus money faster than other ChiliPoker players!

Keep in mind that all of these bonuses must be cleared within 60 days. However, if you reach the 60 day limit without having cleared your full bonus, all is not lost. As long as you have cleared over 50% of the required FPPs, ChiliPoker will credit you with 50% of your bonus cash. If this happens, please email them to let them know.

Earning the FPPs is done by playing cash games or tournaments. In cash games, you are awarded points based on the rake of any given pot.

Here is a schedule of FPPs earned per relative rake:
1 point where the rake is $.25 - $.50
2 points at $.51 - $1.00
3 points at $1.01 - $1.50
4 points at $1.51 - $2.00
6 points at $2.01 - $3
8 points at $3.01 - $5.
In tournaments, 15 FPPs are awarded for every $1 in tournament fees paid. For example, a $22 + $2 Sit and Go would award 30 FPPs.

Chilipoker also rewards you for your deposits and FPPs with thousands of dollars in monthly freerolls. First time depositors will get access to $12,000 in free money. While the money on offer in freerolls for redepositors or those who get 200 FPPs in a month, it's still a sweet deal!
