Bovada’s largest tournament is the weekly $100,000 Guaranteed which runs every Sunday at 16:00 ET. The tournament buy in is smaller than some other Sunday majors at $162, with satellite qualifier tournaments running multiple times every day for as little as $1.
The best thing about this Sunday tournament? Overlay. For example, on May 20, 2012 the tournament had 526 runners all putting up $150+$12. Do the math, $150 x 526 = $78,900. So that means Bovada had to put up $21,100 extra to meet the guarantee. So a $162 buy-in doesn't sound as high when over $20,000 is added to the prize pool. If you take what Bovada added divided by the number of players, $21,100 / 526, you get $40.11. So basically each player receives a $40 discount just for playing. Of course, you don't get the $40 back instantly, you still have to cash. But it does reduce the variance a bit. So if are looking to take a shot in an online MTT, the $100k Guaranteed on Bovada each Sunday is one of your best options. First place is over $20,000!
