Bodog has been around forever so it's no surprise they're still here after Black Friday. I deposited here and there interface was meh. It's like they try so hard to fix something that isn't broke and it is just strange. Despite the weird tables/interface, the games are still soft. I was playing some 50NL and this one dude was just donating lol. Their 100k guaranteed is soft and always has an overlay. It costs $109 but you should be able to satellite into it every week. If I can do it, you can LOL! Oya, their customer support is awesome and not outsourced. It was amazing to get a response from CS that made sense! Bodog is pretty sweet, bros.

I dont know why people are hating on the bodog software, it's a little bit different but I think after a day or two using it and learning where everything is nobody would have any problems with it any more, really the only annoying thing is you can't play more than four tables. The games here are way easier than what I found when I last played at other rooms, and since black friday bodog's getting more and more players since it still accepts US users, which makes finding fish at a bunch of tables even easier. The one time I had a problem their customer support got back to me within a day which was awesome.

Bodog Poker Overview

Bodog Poker's url has undergone a long of changes, but it still remains as a top poker competing site. On July 13th, 2007 a lawsuit caused the domain name Bodog.com to no longer DNS to the poker/casino/sportsbook mega site. The company immediately launched the temporary address NewBodog.com as an intermediary step, and later moved to BodogLife.com. As of April 2009, the case has been settled and www.Bodog.com now links to the gambling site, just as it did before the lawsuit. Bodog change its URL in 2011 to Bodog.eu.

To read the story of Bodog's transitions, read our BodogLife.com page!

Whatever sport is your passion Bodog Poker has it covered, from NFL Football to the March Madness of NCAA Basketball and everything in-between. Plus you can enjoy a full Las Vegas style casino experience with over 75 games, easily downloaded at the click of a button. You can also play in Bodog's exciting and growing multi-player poker community. Opened in September 2004, the card room features Texas Hold'em, Omaha and Omaha High Low, 7 Card Stud, and 7 Card Stud High Low.

Of the games offered at Bodog, most people play low stakes No-limit Hold'em ($200nl and below), with more playing full ring as opposed to shorthanded. They also offer heads-up cash tables for both Limit and No Limit Hold'em. Omaha is moderately popular and there are usually 10 or so active tables off-peak. The same can not be said for Stud however and you're lucky to find one or two tables for 7 Card/5 Card.

Sit and Go tournaments at BodogPoker are quite popular and generate just as much traffic as their ring games. There are usually 30-50 running at a time, mostly below $10. There are some running at higher stakes, but most of the action is concentrated towards the lower limits. They offer regular, turbo, super turbo, shorthanded, and Heads-up S&Gs. Strangely, their S&G tables have 10 player seats whereas their full ring cash tables only offer 9. One thing to note is some tournaments have differing payouts and blind structures. For example, their beginner tournaments pay 5 places rather than 3, 30% for 1st down to 10% for 5th. Experienced players would consider these a waste of time since the max you can win is less than 3x your buy-in (including entry fee) but it would reduce your variance a lot, which could be good for a beginner. One negative thing is Sit & Goes do not use their own tournament lobbies, which can be a minor annoyance.

The Bodog Poker Room features daily tournaments with a monthly guaranteed prize pool of more than $1.8 million, as well as a $100,000 guaranteed ($100 + $9 buy-in) tournament each Sunday. Daily guarantees include: $1000 ($2 rebuy), $2000 ($15 + $1 freeze-out), $5000 ($30 + $3 freeze-out), $8,000 ($50 + $5 freeze-out), $10,000 ($100 + $9), and $15,000 ($55 + $5 freeze-out). Bodog Poker also offers guaranteed seats to the World Poker Tour and the World Series of Poker, including the WSOP Europe. You can also find many freeroll tournaments, including $500 and $1000 daily freerolls. Some of these require points to buy into, but most have no restrictions and can have fields as large as 5000.

While playing at Bodog Poker, you will earn 'Bodog Poker Points.' These points can be used for a few different things, including earning bonuses and special tournaments. You will earn points for playing a raked hand in cash games (1 point max), 3 points for every $1 in tournament fees, and even points for playing at cash tables! Earning points is explained in detail below in the Bonuses section.

Bodog is a well-established company and brand, dating back to the emergence of the Bodog Sportsbook in 1994. In 1999 the Bodog Casino was born, offering 4 casino-style games, which by 2004 had grown to over 50. And finally, in September 2004 the Bodog Poker Room was introduced. So, even though the Poker Room is relatively new, Bodog have been around for a long time. Bodog's Sportsbook is considered to be an industry leader, with their sports content and expertise translated into mainstream media attention. Major organizations such as ESPN, The New York Times, USA Today, CNN, CBS, and VH1 are just a few of the media outlets that have turned to Bodog for betting information and commentary.

I have been playing at Bodog for 3 years. Its easy to make money there, but the lack of features might drive away some players. Pros: Bodog has good customer support, loose fishy players. No problems with cashing out. Cons: Not a lot of action. Peak number of players is rarely over 10,000. No more than 4 tables at once.

I have never deposited money into a poker room, the reason being I'm still dependant on my parents and they would've killed me. But, I secretly built my bankroll up to $0 thanks to the generous $500 freerolls Bodog has each day. Using the money I made from the freerolls, I played in the cash games and tournaments and slowly, over a span of two years, built my bankroll into $17000. It does take a lot of extra work: watching videos, reading strategy articles, and participating on the forums, but Bodog is the best place to grow if you are a beginner. There are lots of fish on the site, but they seem to have improved over the last couple of years. It won't be as loose as if you are playing live, but these players make noticeable mistakes all the time that you can take advantage of. The reason is a large number of players are casual gamblers in their 30's to 50's. The low amount of traffic, 4 table max rule, and lack of bonuses detract sharks from Bodog. Some of the tournaments in Bodog are generous, such as the $500 freerolls and weekend guarantees. The $100k guaranteed is one of the most profitable tournaments in Bodog, due to many people not wanting to spend the $150 buyin fee. Even a below average tournament player can profit over the long run because of the ~$30,000 overlay. In fact, I placed 2nd a couple months ago to win $15000. Customer support is very good. I usually get my checks within a week. Responses to questions are prompt, usually within 2 hours, though they sometimes leave you automated messages that don't help at all. One thing I hate is the interface. They tried to make the tables look sleek and futuristic, but it doesn't make you feel like you are in a poker room. Also, the tables slow down my laptop. The font is unattractive, and the menus look ugly compared to newer poker rooms.

I've been on Bodog to some extent for years. One of the best things about it right now is the one free check a month withdrawal. So, while other sites may be charging as much as $40.00 for a check or some other problem with cashing out, Bodog still has their cash outs fairly simple. The play is fair to spectacular at times, with the later being a sports betting-action-junky gambling at your table I guess. I have made the largest session wins by #Bb in my recent history here at about 150 to 200 Bb gain. One thing that worries me is that some people can probably grab data off of the site into hold em manager using hand grabber, but, I do not. So, I limit my poker play to once a week, more or less, since I'm at a disadvange to players with data up and running. There is a very small Stud and stud8 community too and this is the only site that I have ever played Stud5 at, if that's more than a weird sberation. Support is probably the best in the industry.
