| WSOP 2010 |
Last week I talked about the various UB satellites for the WSOP Main Event, as well as the bonuses you get for representing them during the big tournament in Vegas. Today I will do the same thing for Full Tilt Poker, one of the biggest online poker sites in the world today. So far over 700 people have won their seats to the Main Event via Full Tilt qualifiers.
Full Tilt is probably the best site for you if you don’t have a lot of money, but you’re looking for a way to Vegas. In fact, it’s possible to get into the big event for free – there’s a total of 50 seats to be won in ongoing freerolls. Those with small bankrolls can also try the $1 tournaments that take place on Sundays. Also available are shootouts, step tournaments, and direct qualifiers. You name it, Full Tilt probably has it. The satellite with the most seats to offer is the 150 Seat Main Event Guarantee, however. You can buy into this qualifier for $600+$40, but if a small bankroll prevents you from doing so, you can also satellite in for as little as $1. With so many choices, it’s obvious that a Full Tilt Poker download is a great choice if you’re trying to get into the WSOP this year.
Like most sites, winning a Full Tilt qualifier gets you more than just an entry to the World Series ME. If you’re lucky enough to win a prize package, you win $10,000 for the entry fee, $2k cash for spending money or travel expenses, the company of Full Tilt pros for one night at dinner, and the option to stay at the Rio for free! The Rio boasts one of the most famous casinos in the US, and this makes it a fantastic place to stay for poker enthusiasts.
Once you’ve won your seat, Full Tilt has some crazy incentives to go as deep as possible (as if the millions at stake weren’t enough already). First of all, if you can cash the event, you automatically receive a complimentary entry to the WSOP ME in 2011. If you go even further and make it to the final table, you get a little bonus cash. Finishing 9th to 4th will net you $50k with no strings attached, and 3rd or 2nd will get you $100k. Now if you were to win the event, the money is incredible: you receive $10 million. I did not accidentally add an extra zero, it really is ten! I was personally shocked when I learned the incentive was for that much money. You’ll need to represent Full Tilt for ten years if you want the $10 million, but I think it’s safe to say that $1 million per year would make it worth it.
If you consider all the real money poker sites out there, it’s very tough to beat the number of satellites and the incentives that Full Tilt offers for the WSOP ME. Whether your bankroll is 6 figures or just 2, Full Tilt has made sure that you’ll have a chance to get to Vegas and compete for some serious cash. You should definitely consider winning your seat at Full Tilt, but like I said last week, it’s worth considering all your options before making a decision. I’ll be back next week for the PokerStars installment. Thanks for reading!
