Greenstein, Cada Run Into Tough Loose Cannon

Friday, June 25, 2010 – A poker legend faces off against the new kids on the block, and the most aggressive Loose Cannon yet takes a seat with the pros as The PokerStars.net Big Game moves into its third week.

The PokerStars.net Big Game continues on Monday, June 28 on FOX affiliates across the country. (Check local listings) Players can still qualify for a Loose Cannon seat by playing in special tournaments on PokerStars.net.

Barry Greenstein, one of the best poker players in history, with more than $7 million in career earnings to go along with his three World Series of Poker bracelets is the table captain in Week 3, but it’s Loose Cannon Nadya Magnus who steals the show.

The 33-year old single mom from Palatine, IL has played poker for just two years, but has completely immersed herself in the game. She studies day and night, reading every book she can get her hands on, channel surfing around the clock in the hopes of finding more poker on television. Born in the Soviet Union, Magnus came to the U.S. 10 years ago. Her dream is to be a poker pro and she certainly impressed the pros with her play.

Plus, one pro takes a beating and decides to walk away before losing everything.

This week’s pros:

Barry Greenstein – Poker legend
Justin Bonomo – 11 World Series of Poker cashes, more than $2 million in career tournament earnings.
Jason Mercier – WSOP bracelet winner with nearly $5 million in career earnings
Joe Cada – 2009 WSOP Main Event winner
Joe Cassidy – 12 WSOP cashes
Danny Alaei – Cash game specialist
