Full Tilt Poker announced just yesterday that Sam Chauhan, who calls himself “the coach to hire to make a comeback in your life or business,” has been signed to join the Full Tilt Poker team. Chauhan will be developing a program of poker mindset coaching, exclusive to the Full Tilt Academy. The goal of the program will be to build a player’s confidence, to learn to deal with tilt and bad beats, and to generally improve a player’s psychological approach in all aspects of the game. Chauhan is a firm believer that mindset is the biggest difference-maker between a win and a loss.

Chauhan’s deal with Full Tilt does not prevent him from working with other sites or players with other sponsorship deals. He will retain high-profile clients like Chris Moneymaker and David Williams. Chauhan began his work several years ago when he met Antonio Esfandiari in a restroom at the Rio. This chance meeting resulted in Esfandiari becoming Chauhan’s first client, propelling Esfandiari into a 24th place finish in the World Series of Poker Main Event.

In 2010 Chauhan worked with Phil Hellmuth. Hellmuth saw almost twice as many final tables in 2010 than he had in 2009. His primary goal is of course to boost his clients’ winnings at the tables, and anywhere else in life. Not only limited to poker, Chauhan has worked with CEOs, businessmen, athletes, and celebrities. In the end, he hopes that anybody who interacts with his teachings will see an improvement in their life quality.

With his Full Tilt deal, Chauhan hopes to use the platform to improve the lives of much larger masses of people. He says that if all he ever does is improve lives and build confidence, “I think it’d be a really good thing.”
