Paddy Power Games has recently signed a contract with International Game Technology (IGT), an American-based online gaming equipment provider. Through this partnership, Paddy Power will dive headfirst into the growing mobile market.
IGT is set to provide the Paddy with a new mobile site, which will be compatible with “iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch and Android-enabled smartphone devices,” according to iGamingNews. Among those games initially available will be Wipeout, Cleopatra, 20+ Blackjack, Jacks or Better, and Monopoly Multiplier. All of these titles are produced by IGT and have earned a considerable following among online gamers.
“Adding IGT’s leading titles to its existing games mix will help Paddy Power to fully maximize its burgeoning mobile platform,” said IGT’s Interactive Executive VP Gideon Bierer. “This popular assortment of games will also allow the company to continue growing its mobile gaming business.”
Based out of Reno, Nevada, IGT has a track record of providing excellent software to their clients. It was this reputation which drew the attention of Paddy Power. With the rapid growth of the mobile gaming market, the company has decided to jump in with both feet.
“An increasing proportion of our customers are transacting via mobile games,” said Mike Phelan, Paddy Power’s Business Development Manager. “Improving our mobile games portfolio at PaddyPowerGames.com is necessary for us to continue to build on this trend and keep up with increasingly sophisticated consumer demands.”
Could this lead to a potential poker application for Paddy Power? One can only hope. Check back in for future updates.
