The mysterious Isildur1 will do battle versus Isaac Haxton in the inaugural PokerStars SuperStar Showdown. The announcement comes shortly after the unknown Swede inked a deal with PokerStars, joining the elite members of Team PokerStars Pro.

Isildur1 is an enigma who has captured the attention of the online poker community with his heads-up poker prowess. His play is bold, aggressive, and at times reckless. In 2009, Isildur1 took $5 million off of Tom “durrrr” Dwan, whom many regard as the best heads-up cash game player in the world. However, Isildur1 went ice cold in December 2009, losing over $4 million to Brian Hastings. An independent tracking site has Isildur1 down over $2 million on Full Tilt Poker.

Isildur1 will try to recover versus Issac ‘philivey2694′ Haxton on December 19th. Haxton is no slouch. To date, he has accumulated nearly $3 million in live tournament winnings and has won millions of dollars at PokerStars highstakes cash games.

The SuperStars Showdown is a single session lasting 2,500 hands. Play will take place at four tables of No Limit Hold ‘Em or Omaha. The minimum stakes are $50/$100. If one player doesn’t take the other’s bankroll, profit will determine the victor.
