The World Series of Poker has announced GoDaddy.com as their premier sponsor for the 42nd running of their tournament series.

Known for their risque commercials and marketing, Go Daddy is the internet’s largest web hosting service and domain name registrar. According to a WSOP press release, the company’s sponsorship will kick in almost immediately. The Go Daddy logo will be positioned directly beneath the the community cards, making it clearly visible to every one of the event’s several million viewers.

“When you talk about GoDaddy.com, you are talking about some of the best marketers in the world, who are thoughtful about their platforms and selective in their promotional partnerships,” said WSOP Executive Director Ty Stewart.  “We know GoDaddy.com has a fun and edgy style and we welcome them into the greatest poker spectacle on the planet, which shares its personality.”

Bob Parsons, CEO and founder of Go Daddy, responded to the news in trademark fashion: “We like this poker sponsorship because so many of the fans are passionate, loyal and interested in the Internet… We’re all in, baby!”

Besides their latest venture into poker, GoDaddy.com also sponsors professional racing teams, video games, and several other popular items in the young male demographic. A pairing between these two companies should provide no shortage of entertaining footage, adding to the production value of the WSOP telecasts.
