Full Tilt Poker Upgrades Rewards System
posted on 30 September 2010 by

Today was an exciting day in online poker as one of the biggest and most respected names in the industry upgraded their awards system. After weeks of anticipation, Full Tilt Poker, home of Phil Ivey and Tom “durrrr” Dwan, introduced their new rewards system to the world today. This system is simply known as Black Card. The new system will reward high volume players with a number of perks, including cash bonuses.

Players must be willing to put in the hands and hours to be invited to join this exclusive club. All Full Tilt Poker Black Card members must average 500 Full Tilt Points (FTPs) for 100 days (the 99 prior days and the current day). After accomplishing this task, players will be automatically given Black Card status. If a Black Card member dips below their necessary 500 FTPs average at any point, they will be given a 50 day grace period to bring their average back up. Full Tilt Poker released a new widget for their lobby to make it easier to keep track of 100-day averages.

Black Card members are treated differently than other Full Tilt Poker members; they are the elite of Full Tilt Poker players. The Black Card store, exclusive only to Black Card members, is one of the best online poker stores the industry has ever seen. Players may exchange their FTPs for great items, such as cash bonuses, HDTVs, camcorders, and even luxury vehicles (including Range Rovers, BMWs, and more!). Black Card members also receive double FTPs whenever they play poker. All Black Card members will have a dedicated customer service representative on-hand to answer any questions. The email address of this representative will be given in the welcome email as well as the physical Black Card mailed to that member’s home address.

In addition to the new Black Card system, Full Tilt Poker has made a slight change to earning Full Tilt Points. Instead of awarding a player one FTP per dollar raked at the table (their old system), Full Tilt Poker will award the entire table 10 FTPs per dollar raked. The FTPs will then be distributed to all players at the table. For instance, if a five-handed pot generates $2 of rake, 20 FTPs will be distributed five ways; that is, each player will be rewarded 4 FTPs. Fractional points are also awarded. This is a huge improvement as compared to their older system of earning FTP points.

With Full Tilt Poker unleashing a new and improved rewards system, there has never been a better time than now to join one of the best poker rooms online today. In addition to these huge rewards, players that sign up through FlopTurnRiver’s links get access to exclusive tournaments. Remember to use the FLOPTURNRIVER referral code when asked!
