Full-Tilt-Poker-FTOPS-8 Begins Today!

The FTOPS VIII (Full Tilt Online Poker Series) begins today! It has been announced for over a month now, and many people have been waiting for today to come. This series is larger than ever with 24 events, including new games never played in any FTOPS, and has over $10,000,000 guaranteed! The new events include a triple shootout, quad shootout, and long awaited heads up MTT. The heads up tournament has been requested numerous times over the years and Full Tilt finally added it to its roster (May 11th, 14:00 ET - Event 8, which has a $500 + $35 buy-in and $250,000 guaranteed).
Event 1 starts off today at 21:00 ET, and is a $200 + $16 No-Limit Hold’em 6-Max tournament. This is a great way to kick off the FTOPS 8, especially with it’s $750,000 guaranteed prize pool! I am going to guess that the prize pool will end up being much larger since it is event 1 and there are hundreds of satellites still running. If you can’t afford to buy-ins for this, which range from $109 (with rebuys) up to $2,620, why not take a shot at a satellite? Satellites start as low as $8.80, and first place for this event is going to be at least $150,000!
The main event for the FTOPS 8 is on May 18th at 18:00 ET and has a $500 + $35 buy-in. This will be the largest tournament ever on Full Tilt, and one of the largest in the history of online poker with $2,000,000 guaranteed! You do not want to miss the FTOPS 8 Main Event!
