There are reports that select Full Tilt Poker Black Card members are receiving emails to participate in the beta launch of Rush Poker Mobile, a real money Rush Poker mobile phone application. The app, which will be available to phones running Android 2.2 or “Froyo”, boasts real and play money Rush Poker tables. According to the email, Rush Poker Mobile is supported by the following Android 2.2 phones:
- Acer Liquid Stream S110
- HTC Desire
- HTC Droid Incredible
- HTC Evo 4G
- HTC Google Nexus One
- HTC Desire HD
- Motorola Droid 2
- Motorola Droid Pro / Droid 2 World Edition
- Motorola Droid X
- T-Mobile G2
Unfortunately for iPhone owners, the iPhone was excluded. Apple has not allowed real money poker applications in their marketplace, so don’t expect to see it offered any time soon.
For those unfamiliar with Rush Poker, it is a fast-paced poker game, created by Full Tilt Poker, where players do not stay at a single table with set players. Instead, there is a large pool of players that are chosen for each hand. Once a player folds, he or she is immediately moved to a different table with new players and instantly given another hand to play.
Full Tilt’s decision to go with Rush over their regular tables seem like a bold move. Early reports from beta-testers are that the app only allows players to single table, though, so Rush Poker will keep casual players a bit more entertained while allowing hardcore grinders to play more hands.
