Full Tilt Poker is one of the world’s leading online poker rooms, and have a huge variety of ways in which they reward both new and existing players at their site. Among their best reward schemes is the Iron Man Challenge, which encourages players to hit the tables whenever they can. In a move which is sure to put a smile on the face of players around the globe, Full Tilt has today announced changes to the Iron Man system, which will come into effect between now and January next year.

The Iron Man challenge rewards players with their choice of entry into special Freeroll Tournaments, or Iron Man Medals, which can be used to buy cash bonuses or tournament tickets. The rewards scale upwards as players reach higher daily points totals, or maintain their level of points for more days.

Collecting 50 points on 20 days in the month earns you Bronze Status.
Collecting 50 points on 25 days in the month earns you Silver Status.

Collecting 125 points on 15 days in the month earns you Bronze Status.

The old system required that you opt-in to the Iron Man Challenge at the start of each month, and choose right then and there whether you wanted the Iron Man Medals or the freeroll tournament entry. Under the new system, however, you’ll simply be given a ticket at the end of each month which can be used for freeroll tournament entry or redeemed for medals, so you don’t need to make any decisions until you’re ready. You’ll also automatically be opted-in to the next month if you achieve any status level in the current month, which is a convenient change.

This certainly makes things more convenient, but the two biggest changes are set to offer you the chance to enjoy even more rewards. Firstly, Full Tilt has announced that there will be new ways to qualify for Iron Man, so in addition to the ways above, the following should now be added to the table.

The second big announcement is the return of Iron Man Plus. So long as you’re opted-in to the Challenge and earn any status level, you will be given bonus Iron Man Medals on any day where you earn more than 1,000 Full Tilt Points. Iron Man Plus allows you to earn up to 20 bonus medals a day, and these can of course be used in the Iron Man Store just like the medals you receive at the end of each month.

Iron Man Plus and the new ways to achieve Iron Man statuses look like they’re already in effect for December, but it should be noted that the automatic opt-in and the new system of redeeming a ticket for either Iron Man Medals or Freeroll Tournament entry doesn’t come into effect until January, so until then you’ll have to continue being rewarded the old way.
